This review is about Celestial Sleepytime Extra. The "extra" is valarian, a herbal preparation which is said to be a sleep aid, and, in my opinion, it is. If you buy a "herbal sleep aid" on the high street, it will often be or contain valarian. I use this tea most nights and, in my experience, is definitely aids falling asleep. I am not certain, but is does sometimes lead to wakefulness at 3:00 AM, but if I am having trouble falling asleep, it is a God send. Give it a try and see if it works for you. I think you must buy 6 boxes on Amazon, so try one before you commit.

Celestial Seasonings make the best herbal teas in the world but they are really hard to find in the UK. I have been drinking their teas for decades but this is the first time I have bought them from Amazon. The Sleepytime brew is one of my favourites. It has a pleasant flavour and is relaxing. I don't think any of the ingredients make you drowsy. If you want something for that you should try the Sleepytime Extra, which contains valerian.

I tried this tea as I was having difficulty either getting off to sleep or having interrupted sleep over a long period of time. It tasted slightly odd but I figured it was worth a go. After a few nights, I actually found the tea helped. It’s not a cure all and I’d be lying if I said it worked every time, but I’ve come to rather like the taste and anything is better than resorting to medication.

I don't drink tea but I bought this from a different supplier to try and my husband loves it so much he drinks one every evening now. They were out of stock and I've found these on Amazon so I bought them straight away. Pack of three boxes will keep the man supplied for a while. He says it's nice and it does aid his sleep.

I wish I could add this to my sunshine and save or my Ocado order and get regularly. Love the taste and the calming effect before bedtime

I love this brand and I keep buying it. I love the fact they come in a waxed bag inside because they stay really fresh. The combination of flavours is just perfect. Me and my husband always make time for a cup of sleepy tea before bed to round off the day and have a few moments together as a couple.
