Bargain of the month.
This is an excellent overdrive/distortion. If you line it up with other fx the resemblance to other makes is astonishing. For this price it's a bargain.

Two effects, one pedal
This is the second pedal I’ve bought (the first being the Behringer UC200 Ultra Chorus). As I’m just learning to play, the affordability and the fact that this is essentially two pedals in one really appealed to me. I can’t see a need for me, at the moment, to have both an Overdrive AND a Distortion pedal so this is perfect. The sound can be pure Overdrive, pure Distortion or a blend of both depending on the settings. It was well packaged and has a good heavy feel to it, the knobs are nice and tight and it’s easy to understand how to use. I can’t compare it to any of the more expensive ones and I don’t know how it would cope with the rigours of frequent gigging but for my purposes (learning at home with a small practice amp) it’s absolutely perfect. I’d recommend this to any electric guitar beginner as an entry level pedal.

Quality you’d expect from Behringer, but powering it is a pain
Product is great value for money, especially for occasional and at home players. It is made of plastic so this would not withstand the rigours of the professional or pub giggest etc. sound quality is OK, but you do get some noticeable ‘hum’ at loud volumes, again to be expected for the price. The biggest gripe is how you power it. It can be run off batteries, but these are a fiddle to fit (need to take the pedal off the base, and replace carefully to avoid cracking the plastic). Annoyingly though, thee is no on/off switch - if you power it from batteries, you need to remove the in and out signal cables from it, even with your amp and guitar off, otherwise it drains the batteries. That is a bit annoying and messy. There is a port for a 9v adaptor, but it would be helpful if at least the adaptor plug came with it, as I haven’t been able to find one the right diameter to fit the hole, and so am stuck with battery power. But overall, if you are looking for a cheap pedal to have some fun at home, you probably can’t go wrong with this one.

Great functional cheap overdrive
Cheap as chips but effective. These behringer pedals contain pretty accurate clones of classic (mostly ) Boss effects pedals. This one I believe is a close approximation of the Boss OS-2. Plastic housing but what can you expect for under £20. It sounds good though and is very close to the original version. These pedals are so cheap but they actually do a decent job of recreating some classic effects. They’re cheap enough you can just buy one for fun to try out a different sound.

Love it.
No matter how good virtual amps and pedals are these days (even free ones), you can't beat having a real distortion pedal at the start of your chain, before your guitar connects to your DAW. And I'm having a lot of fun playing through this right now. But most of the time this has my 303 clone plugged into it in my techno hardware rig. And my god, this really adds some dirt and filth to that sound as well.

False advertisement no power source beware!
Would give -5 stars if I could. Not only was it super late arriving. Should have arrived 29th December was then updated to 3 more dates before eventually arriving on the evening of 11th January. Upon opening there was no power source!!!!!. No where on the ad did it mention the need to buy a power source. Only a separate cable which I did indeed purchase. Now this was a gift for a Autistic child. She was actually really patient with the delay. To find there's no power source after all the delays is down right disgusting.

Installing a battery could break it.
Had this pedal for a couple of hours now and it sounds decent for the price. Can get a nice overdrive up to a good distortion level. I'm using it connected to my Behringer digital interface and headphones out of the same interface. Volume level is more than enough. As for inserting battery - oh man, I thought I'd break it. For some insane reason you have to take the pedal off, It's kept in place by spring loaded 'nubs' on either side of the pedal which are also the hinge for the pedal to turn on and off. A pen or screwdriver needs to be pushed in to release the pedal. And because I don't have 3 hands pushing both nubs in and pulling the pedal up at the same time can't be done. So you end up juggling one nub pressed in while wiggling the pedal itself to free it and then dealing with the second nub. This exerts force on the other nub still holding the pedal in place - which as I said is also the pedal's hinge so if either of these breaks your pedal is bust.

Although not the best choice for bass, this does a great job for replicating bass tones for 90s bands like silverchair, nirvana and Alice in chains. The bassline of Israel’s son using this pedal is flawless.
