I once stopped biting them for about six months but only because they were in artificial nails always. But there’s never been a time where I’ve had them exposed and not bitten. Review: THIS IS A MUST WORKED FROM DAY ONE FOR BOTH MY 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD. - Its been almost 3 weeks now and from the first time i put this on my children i have made them aware of what it's is,what it does, and why I am doing this to them. I have made them both taste on their nails. And every couple of days I put it on them without a fuss. They are only too willing to participate.... Bought this for my daughter and son as they both suck their thumbs(used to suck) I should say now with the help of this. They both were so addicted they could be walking down the road sucking their thumbs. They didn't care where or when they did it. From the first night putting this on my daughter(4) and tasting it she hasn't attempted to suck her thumb or I haven't seen her anyway and she was almost constantly doing it whenever she had a chance. It has well and truly put her off. And when asking her if she wants too I get a strange face with eewww no yucky.. my son(3) the first night he woke up crying I not sure if that's cos he tried to suck during sleep or If was a night terror as he had been suffering from them after being poorly with a very high temperature. **Q: does it wash off when i wash my hands?**
A: Short Answer: YesLong answer: Its very tough, using an old bar soap isn't really going to cut it, I used washing up liquid (good quality one that's green if you catch my drift) did the job but only after 2 - 3 goes,It's very strong stuff - which is what you want to stop biting! - even after getting out the swimming pool you can still taste that terrible bitter taste if you feel the temptation,Some people use nail varnish but that washes off far too easily,I work in an office environment so I have no issue, but you couldn't use this product if you worked in food preparation because it's just too strong (or you could prepare food with gloves on)I would compare this product to an extreme chilli pepper on your fingers/thumb - tread very carefully - but at the end of the day it does exactly what is says on the tin - trust me it will stop  the biting - your brain will very quickly register `I don't like that, I'm not doing that again'.Any other questions let me know

**Q: can I use it on my two and a half year old**
A: Yes you can I used on my 1year old and he hasn't sucked it since then it took him under 3 weeks but you have to be prepared watching ur child crying because something like fingers has been taken away..be consistent otherwise there's no point..works!

**Q: Odd question I'm an adult but have the awful habit. Will this be suitable ?**
A: Of course. I bought this once only. However if your saliva even comes in contact - it tastes disguisting! This includes brushing your teeth. Personally, I bought sally Hanson miracle grow nails which will grow your nails but if you don't have the will power use this and trust me you will stop. Take care.

**Q: Can you apply it on top of nail polish?**
A: When I did it it took the nail varnish off like nail varnish remover. Don't recommend.

Its been almost 3 weeks now and from the first time i put this on my children i have made them aware of what it's is,what it does, and why I am doing this to them. I have made them both taste on their nails. And every couple of days I put it on them without a fuss. They are only too willing to participate.... Bought this for my daughter and son as they both suck their thumbs(used to suck) I should say now with the help of this. They both were so addicted they could be walking down the road sucking their thumbs. They didn't care where or when they did it. NAIL UPDATE Ive been biting my nails since i understood they were there. Ive never bitten the skin , just the nail and they are so SO bad. ive only managed to grow them a TINY bit around 10 times. i now have a little girl. I dont want her to see me do it and pick up the habbit. i feel embarssed about them every single day, esepcially when i hand someone money, retrieve something etc i always try and hide them but sometimes some people see and they cant hide their digust.. i cant blame them. If my nails get better ill feel confident to do a before and after. The taste of this is HORNEDOUS, its like a rotten chemical matal. The thing is, the taste stays in your mouth for a really long time. In a way its good as its makeing me resent the thought of biting my nails, its constantly reminding me to stay away which is good as alot of the time i dont even know im biting them. Bad thing is when you eat crisps, wraps, even an ice lolly. If your mouth goes near your finger or your finger on the food you will be guaranteed to get the polish taste which is NOT pleasant. Even drinking doesn't get it to go, just waiting. UPDATE _ Grown my nails after whole life without them? so i started my nail journey on the 27th March and the latest picture is from 13th May. It wasn't the easiest of journeys, sometimes I had the urge to bite and when I did I just put even more polish on. I have bitten a bit of each thumb. I felt awful after. I also chipped a nail and bit it to straighten it out....other than that it was surprisingly easy to stop, once I started seeing results I didn't want to do it. This polish definitely sped up the nail growth, in one day I saw results and you can see it in the pictures. It also adds a nice shiny coat to your nail so despite the awful taste.. it helped a lot. Spending my whole life with no nails becauze i was constantly destroying them, I was skeptical about what they'd look like when they did grow. I will say that they aren't as strong as most peoples, as time goes on they are getting stronger though. The shape isn't what I'd call normal? Maybe that's just how they are or maybe the biting played a part? It makes life so much easier, I can open bracelets and necklace charms, I can scratch price stickers off items. I no longer try and hide to my fingers when passing someone money, I dont feel ashamed anymore and it feels AMAZING like a weight has lifted. I'm even ordering some nail polish and a base coat to try and paint them :) I'm really excited. To everyone with a nail biting habit, you can do it!!!!
