Scart Selector Switch Box - 3 SCART Input, 1 SCART output + 6 RCA Phono Sockets (SILVER)

My elderly mother bought a second hand TV with only one scart connection and she wanted to record to DVD, so asked me to get her this scart switch box. However although I'm confident I connected all the scarts correctly, she couldn't use it to record to DVD. It was like the end of the world for her!! She so loves to record stuff to watch later. Anyway someone has now told a HDMI cable will do the job .... so now I have to get one of those instead. We'll give the scart selector box to a charity shop, maybe someone else can make use of it. The moral of this story is that it probably best not to buy this product unless you are absolutely sure that it is what you need.

Very pleased. Simple to use and allows me to switch between my 'old' analogue devices and connect them to my new TV with ease. Plus point = doesn't require any power! The box is self supporting and just acts as a pathway between devices, so you don't need to worry about having another plug socket taken up. If you use the 'red, white and yellow' outports ("audio right, audio left & video") on the box (and connect those cables into an adaptor with a small stereo headphone jack at the end) then this device connects brilliantly to modern TV's that have that as an input. Now that scarts are absent from most modern TV's, this is a real plus point (and therefore saves on further analogue to digital adaptors). Well worth a punt. 5 stars.

Aside from the recording stuff (which I haven't used since I won't use it for that) everything works fine. I'm using it for my GameCube and megadrive. All you need to do is press the button to the cable of your device,turn the device on and its up and running. Very good box that'll definitely go over it's warranty.

Working fine at the mo. Feels a little cheap hence the 4 stars. Note make sure to switch your tv to RGB.....it wont work on PAL.

Build quality was off.

Connected TV, Sky Box & DVD with my stereo system & it is great.Simple press of a button to swap between systems (no more unplugging / re-plugging or fiddling behind units).Self - explanatory leaflet for connections and no problems with picture or sound quality.Fully meets my expectations - highly recommended.

Good I would buy again

Works exactly as it should, feels a little cheap but that's because it is.
