This is a well-made bag that also is effective at blocking a range of electromagnetic frequencies. When you have a cell phone that is paired to e.g. Bluetooth/Wifi, placing the device inside the bag will cause the connection to be lost. Thus the product is effective. The bag comfortably fits about two laptops inside foam cases, that is about the shape and size of things you can expect to fit in here. The bag is made of a canvas material that is probably not Kevlar-strong, but has been completely resistant to damage during normal use. The inside material is soft like a jacket: a jacket that blocks EMF. Also it is a plus that the company Mission Darkness makes a free and honest cell phone app to let you test the efficacy of their Faraday solutions as well as your own. This is the mark of a company that wants you to test their product. Now think about why other companies don't want you to know basic information about the efficacy of their product, and you will see why this is a worthwhile bag. Crystals/Rocks do not block EMF. Only enclosures such as Faraday cages & bags are capable of blocking EMF.

No EMP yet, but the bag blocks water and it blocks phone and radio signals.

Made in America so I thought I'd give it a chance. Bought stuff from China, but it never works. This bag however is large enough for several phones, small laptop, ipod etc. Placed my phone in bag called it, total silence. Bag seems. We'll made but small enough to place under seats etc. Only neg. I can find is no way to close top, but a simple roll over at top is enough to cloak devices.

Test: 1) I put my cellphone inside on speaker. The microphone stopped sending audio to the second phone before I was done sealing the bag. The call dropped in less than 10 seconds but I’m convinced all signal was lost long before. 2) after removing my key fob from a cheap competitor’s bag (which failed), I put the key fob into this bag. My car was unable to detect the key while inside the Mission Darkness bag. The competitor’s bag didn’t block the key’s signal. I was happy with these results. I don’t really have imagination for other tests beyond that. Quality: this thing seems durable. The inner material is thick and hopefully it holds up to the rolling and folding of the top. I’m claiming the thing is water proof based on the fact that air doesn’t escape and the whole thing is a leathery material. I’ve got experience with water proof bags and I trust this thing with some expensive electronics. Would I Chuck it in the ocean? No. Would I have it attached to the outside of my pack in a downpour? Yes. I will be buying more Mission Darkness products.

This appears to be a well made small, duffle bag. The fit and finish are top quality. Even the strap is nice. I received some guidance on closing it from the manufacturer. The customer support was excellent. To close the bag, the top must be folded over twice, then folded over from the sides and clipped together from each side with the built in clips. This should result in a waterproof seal much like you find on waterproof backpacking bags that you fold over and tie. It blocks my cell phone, the RIFD in my car key, and three different radios I tried in it. I haven't figured out how to test my notebook in it yet, but I am confident it will block signals to it as long as it is in there. There is enough room in this bag to put several critical items, including a small laptop like my wife's Dell. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Amazing faraday tote. Large capacity. I downloaded an app to check how well it works and have attached pics to show it works as described. It blocked both cell and wifi (two tests successfully run). The only thing that could be improved is how you seal the bag! I had to google the instructions to make sure I was sealing it properly.

Ursprünglich hatte ich mal gehofft, dass diese Tasche mein 17,3 Zoll Laptop aufnehmen kann, obwohl mir anhand der Maße schon schwante, dass es nicht funktioniert. Und stimmt, es funktioniert nicht ohne Drücken und pressen und Schwierigkeiten beim ordnungsgemäßen Verschließen der Tasche, damit sie das macht, was sie soll: Elektrische Geräte vor Wasser und unerwünschter Strahlung schützen. Für mein Laptop habe ich eine perfekte andere Lösung von Mission Darkness gefunden, und diese wasserdichte Umhängetasche beherbergt nun anderes elektronisches Equipment, das ich im Falle eines EMP oder CME geschützt haben möchte, ohne den leichten und alltäglichen Zugriff darauf zu verlieren. Sie funktioniert genauso wie früher ein Seesack, also durch zweifaches Einrollen der oben Öffnung und anschließendes Verschließen mittels Stecksystem. Ebenso leicht ist sie auch wieder zu Öffnen - natürlich in umgekehrter Reihenfolge. Die Tasche bietet eine Menge Platz und ist durch das Material sehr robust. An der Qualität der Nähte und der Verklebungen habe ich überhaupt nichts zu meckern. Würde ich diese Tasche nochmal kaufen? Trotz des Preises: Ja, auf jeden Fall!
