Unaffected by wi-Fi. **Q: Does this work ontop of a surface 4 one of those miltary drop tested one? cover? i.e. when pluged in is there room between it and surface 4 ?** A: I believe so if surface 4 has usb-c **Q: If this is plugged into Surface Pro 3, would it close the access to power charging port?** A: No the power port is still available. The mini display port is however obstructed. **Q: Can you plug in pro4 mains power cable and use this device at the same time?** A: Hello, yes of course, when you plug this Hub, it does not hide the power port of Surface 4 (or Pro 2017), so you can recharge and use the tablet at the same time. Nicolas Bidul & ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic item however it is a little on the bulky side *by M***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2016* I have not had any issues at all with the devices connectivity or had to unplug/plug in due to any drop-outs as other reviewers had mentioned.I recommended these to the company I work for who went on to buy another 5 of them - all completely problem free so far.The only negative I have is that compared to the sleek Surface Pro 4 the device is a little on the bulky side - it would be nice to see this made with a slimline hinged ethernet port. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Useful docking device for Microsoft Surface PC/tablets *by C***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 August 2016* Excellent docking adapter for Microsoft Surface PC/tablets only, and it saves buying the expensive, bulky and VERY HEAVY Microsoft Docking Station. I have a Surface Pro 4, and it easy to carry around. Light in weight but very strong. A little bit stiff to use when new but it can be quickly removed to free the PC while leaving all external devices still connected to the adapter. Issues have been reported with the two display ports not being as versatile as the port on the PC - which is occupied when this adapter is in use - but I have not encountered any problems but I only use it to send output to a projector. Good supplier.
