I went to multiple plumbing suppliers and they didn’t know what the thread was. The last one told me to use a o-ring or gasket because it was bottoming out. I ordered a kit with multiple sizes of o-rings and gaskets. The o-ring stopped it from leaking. I think the gasket would work better but the arrived after I installed the o-ring. **Q: Do you recommend pressure regulator?** A: Don’t need one. You can adjust pressure on auto valve **Q: The pump’s in my garage boosting. It’s sweating a lot around chrome intake. Can I wrap this with insulation? What about in NY winters?** A: Mine did the same in my garage. I wrapped it with a towel and duct tape and it stopped dripping. I would worry if you have it outside during the winter. May want to invest is a cover and put an incodescent lght bulb in with the pump.
