Shelly EM is an awesome bit of kit yeah it’s gen one but still works great once you get it connected which isn’t very easy, I’ve not naught a Gen1 product for a while so was really spoiled that the other products just connect via the Shelly app easily, this on the other hand does not and you have to go on its local network web page to get it to work which is a pain, but it works with home assistant you just need to do the advance ColoT to get it working reliably otherwise it drops out, still it’s expensive for a Gen1 product and surprised the price hasn’t reflected that all in all does what it should but you also have an output as well which I use with a wireless contact sensor to power the LED when the door operates. BEAWARE THIS IS THE UNIT ON ITS OWN NOT CT IS INCLUDED WHICH YOU HAVE TO BUY SEPARATELY TO GET IT TO WORK AS INTENDED!!

Refused to connect to WiFi completely, I've followed guidelines for troubleshooting with no effect at all. Additionally at the time of purchase the 120A clamp listed on the same page was not compatible with the Shelly EM (different plugs). Had to return both items

The Shelly EM is a reliable and effective Wi-Fi-connected energy monitor that integrates effortlessly with Home Assistant. Once set up, it works flawlessly and provides accurate energy monitoring with great convenience. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. Pairing took four or five attempts because it requires a 2.4GHz network, and my phone was initially connected to the 5GHz network (both share the same SSID). Additionally, it would benefit from a case or cover for the exposed live screw terminals. I had to resort to using electrical tape. Despite these issues, the Shelly EM is a solid choice for energy monitoring, particularly for those who use home automation tools such as Home Assistant.

Absolutely ridiculous that this product does not come with the CT clamp to measure energy usage. Its basically a paper weight without it and Amazon doesn't even sell the CT clamp. Pointless. While Shelly EM is well reviewed for energy monitoring, why they choose to sell this stand alone AND without warning is beyond me.

Einfach nur geil das Teil. Ich setze das Teil als Rolladensteuerung und das ist einfach genial. Anleitung ist sehr genau und einbinden ins eigene Netz klappt einwandfrei. Ich werde jetzt alle Rolladen damit bestücken.

Utilisé pour mesurer une consommation/production solaire (avec l'ajout d'une pince ampèremétrique). Donne entièrement satisfaction pour l'instant. Application facile à installer.

Comprado para substituir al que vino con la instalación de nuestros paneles solares. El antiguo hacia mediciones cada 5 minutos, éste lo hace en tiempo real. Apenas unos segundos y ya se puede ver el consumo y la generación en el navegador. Muy pequeño y fácil de incluir en la caja de conexiones de la instalación. Además de informativo lo usamos para enviar información al gestor de excedentes que nos envía el exceso de producción a un calentador eléctrico, aprovechando mejor la energía. (Si volcamos los excedentes a la red electrica los pagan muy mal)

Handy device. Easy to install, gives a clear overview of your power consumption. The picture shows the consumption of the previous day in orange, blue is the current consumption. You can also immediately see what the costs are. I saw several times that the consumption was above 100 watts, that turned out to be my refrigerator. I'm going to investigate that further, how much it consumes. Recommended to get an overview of your power consumption! The only downside is that no mounting is included for a din rail.
