Does this protect from toner scratching off and make overall plaster stronger?** A: Not used it for this purpose - but in the past I've found that PVA type products tend to stay on top of plaster and can peel off. However, it does provide some protection. It may be worth experimenting by applying a thinned down first coat, to soak into the plaster - which needs to have fully dried out - followed by an undiluted coat. Traditionally plaster pattern makers used shellac as a protection - but unfortunately it tends to have an orange tint. **Q: Can i use this to seal a pine kitchen worktop made from scaffold planks?** A: Hi if it's a surface that will keep coming into contact with water it may eventually break down the seal.I use for art projects such as decoupage, and I try not to get it wet otherwise it goes abit sticky, but, then again it could be from mod podge , and paint that I used to glue napkin to glass. There is another polyvine product that people use for ceramic pieces, and wooden mdf bird boxes, which is waterproof, maybe that one is more suitable. **Q: How often do you need to repaint the wall paper?** A: I used this on furniture to protect the paint underneath. I used two coats and had plenty left (3 large items) , it leaves a lovely sheen and is very durable . I however never thought of using this on wall paper I would if I had wallpapered some drawers or units .
