But there is usually a slight line or mark on one of the wires and the idea is that for stereo sound or more speakers that the negative at the amplifier is connected to one of the 2 wires right the way to the speaker negative terminal . If it is a single speaker system then it doesn’t matter. So for car stereo or 4 plus speaker systems all the radio amplifier negatives must connect with the speaker negative or the sound will be out of synch and the sound will not be good or as good as it can be .
