G4Free 47/54/62/68 Inch Golf Umbrella Auto Open Windproof Umbrella Double Canopy

These are very similar to another umbrella I've had for seven years - still in great condition. I love the design and I expect these G4Free brollies to keep me equally happy. I bought these two as spares. Plus points: Vent system. Auto-opening works well. Colourful. Generous size (somehow this green 54" brolly is bigger than my original 55" umbrella!) Straight handle - suits me better. The foam on the handle is excellent, very firm and grippy, not the horrible squishy stuff I was expecting. The cover has a locking slider so you can cinch it tight at the handle end. This probably stops the umbrella from sliding out when you stow it over your shoulder using the straps. It would have been even better if they exploited this feature so the cover opened wider for ease of entry. Missed opportunity. Many photo reviews are showing broken fibreglass shafts, often in unexpected places. This is bizarre and I suspect there are batches with badly set fibreglass (if it is truly fibreglass.) Hopefully they've fixed this. I reinforced my previous umbrella with 8mm steel studding inserted into the hollow fibreglass shaft. That shaft is never going to break. I was planning to do the same with these, but it looks like I need to peel off the foam handle before I even discover if it's possible to do. My older umbrella had a screw at the handle allowing disassembly. I suspect these G4Free ones are pinned and glued, so I won't bother unless one of them breaks. (The tip on these is pinned in place for example, it doesn't unscrew.)

Great quality, wind proof. Very light looks good. Basically does what it says on the tin 😂

Had this umbrella for 14 months. Mostly it has been a positive experience, large canopy (68”) light weight easy to open and close good water repellency, robust construction. However I live by the coast and therefore subjected to a fair share of windy weather. I’ve weathered a few storms but got caught by a strong gust this morning which put paid to my umbrella: blew it inside out (which it has survived on previous occasions with only some stitching bursting) but today 3 of the spokes burst rendering it useless.

This is an absolutely flawless umbrella. I'm delighted with the robustness of the construction, the smooth way it opens with a press of a button, and the nice added touch of a sheath to protect it, but also useful as a carrying device. The umbrella has clearly been most thoughtfully designed, and manufactured to a very high standard. It's especially pleasing to see such a good product at such a reasonable price.

Huge umbrella... Just what I wanted! Foldable and a great sleeve to carry, button function to unfold works great, seems very waterproof which is always handy in a brolly! Durability yet to be tested in time but seems good so far. Due to the size I think I'll be cautious on a windy day not to be launched into the sky or dragged down the road!

An exceptional umbrella, big enough to cover a small country and strong enough to cope in the wind without turning inside out. In fact your biggest problem may be not turning into Mary Poppins and flying away. Great but of kit, you may even hope it rains for more opportunities to casually produce it and watch as the normal umbrella people foam at the mouth in a maelstrom of sensory overload powered mainly by jealousy. You may want to add it to your home insurance as I’d imagine it’s the number one umbrella on the theft league table.

Well made. Auto opening. Seems resistant to blowing outside in so far.

This is a large umbrella 80" over the dome, 70" across the open diameter which I wanted and is brilliant but because of its size it should be a little stronger it does feel a little weak for its size and construction. Also it is the same material as all other umbrellas, no thicker. So more area to catch the wind and Rip Only used it once and it was ok in the rain. Use it for what it is intended RAIN, do not use if it is windy, it will damage easily I would say.

Pour le moment, fait le boulot, bien grand, léger.. On verra sur les parties mécaniques tiennent le coup dans le temps, mais jusque là tout va bien !
