## Description

Technoseal Damp Proof Paint provides a waterproof membrane, used for water-proofing walls. Technoseal DPM is a general-purpose, fast drying and can be applied to sound masonry by brush, roller or spray. Non-toxic, non-hazardous and solvent free liquid damp proof membrane suitable for walls both above and belowground. Coverage: A minimum dried coating thickness of 0.6mm is needed to provide a physical barrier. This should be applied in a minimum of two coats (i.e 0.3mm per dried coat) This corresponds to approx 1.2kg/m².Applications: Floors: Under/above screeds to provide a damp proof membrane - Basements: As part of a waterproofing system beneath ground level - Walls: Can be used under render or plaster as a water barrier or vapour barrier - Tiling: As secondary protection under tiles in wet areas e.g. bathrooms, food processing areas, balconies, etc - Water Storage: The membranes perform well in our tests even when continuously immersed in water - Silage Storage: The membrane protects concrete from silage attack.

Review: Quality product that is a relatively cheap and easy fix. - I used this on a concrete floor in my living room. It is very nice to use; I started with a roller but felt it was not going on thick enough so switched to a 10" brush and it went down great. I applied two coats and thought that this was enough. I had the underlay for the carpet laid on top of this when it was thoroughly dry. Although I don't think it is intended for use like this, that is I think it should be laid under a screed, it worked well. Only one glitch which was my fault; the previous carpet had been glued down and although I worked hard to remove all traces of this there was one small area where I obviously failed and the paint did not stick too well, I may live to regret this or I might strike lucky and have no problems.

**Q: Will it work on bathroom walls?**
A: I can't say yes definitely but it is meant for use on walls as well as floors. We have used it in our utility room where we have a shower and the floor is concrete. We have also used it on our shed floor which is wood. Both have been very successful. I would try it on my bathroom walls if I needed to.  Hope this is useful.

A: Hello, we used this on a damp concrete floor and it has been a great success. We made an outdoor shed into a shower/wash room so it was essential to make sure it was not damp before being fitted out, its has done a good job for over 12 months now. Hope this helps

**Q: will this work on an outside wall applied internally**
A: can't see any reason why it wouldn't work but i would try a test area first. the other alternative would be to contact the manufacturer or dealership. its brilliant stuff and my utility room was as wet as the outside before we used it.

**Q: can it be used on the exterior for instance a flat concrete roof

A: I have only used this product on interior walls, and it has been fit for purpose. I do NOT however think the product will be of sufficient strength/durability for use on exterior surfaces and certainly not for roofs. I think you would be better using a bitumous or polymer based product for external use, rather than this water based product.
