Where do I get assembly and paint instructions for this as none are provided?

Assembly instructions should have come with the kit. As to paint instructions you will have to decide which loco number and which era you wish it to be. Search by the web for the number you wish and select that colour.

Having built this model, I would suggest that it was designed for use as a static engine only and not suitable to be motorised.
