Whole house filter does the job!
Our household has been using these filters for at least 18 years. Easy to install and work as defined to filter out hard water and sediment. We usually replace every three months. The three pack is a great value.

Works Great In My GE Whole House Water Filter Housing
I use these in my whole house water filter. I have had the filter housing since 2006. These fit great, don't leak or impact my water pressure. they last longer than recommended since I don't have that many people using water. They reduce the calcium and smell of my water before it gets into the house. I have this on a subscribe and saver so I don't forget to change it. Highly recommend, as it is a great value.

Clears water better than the less expensive filters
Have been using the 5 micron filters now for 3+ years. Since we don't use a lot of water I change every 6 months. I was worried that the more filtering the 5 micron's perform would require changing more often since I read water pressure would diminish the longer you use. This was not the case. Our shower seems clearer with less calcium stains on the clear glass doors. Our plants seem happier. Since the entire home is filtered and the ice/water filter on the fridge also filters, the water tastes great and the ice is clear. All in all this is a good product that worked very well with my GE whole home filter.

5 micron whole house water filter
So the filter work pretty well so far, we have well water and I have one just right after the well, and another just before the water heater. My well is heavy on sediment and the water comes very clear, as well as good pressure. I have the 5 micron and still has good pressure. The only issue I have with the filter, being carbon based, the day of the install the water started to come out black as if you were washing coal, it took a while to flush the entire system, so be prepared to leave a faucet running for a a while. I left one open in the kitchen for maybe 15-20 mins and there was still some darkness in the water.

These filters are a great value compared to the GE filters sold at the local box store for triple the cost. I'll keep buying these!
