Please may i ask if putting this on a wooden dovecote roof would i still need to use tacks or is this good enough to use without tacks? thank you

If applied all over the roof it possibly would be ok, however to be more reliable over time I would put in a few tacks - one each corner and then every 100 mm round edges on all overlaps where the felt is turned round the edges at an angle. It is not necessary to tack the top weather exposed parts.

Can this be used before a torch-on roof felt is laid down?

Hi, no you would not use this with torch on felt.

If I just paint this over the felt nails will it seal it an stop it raining in?

Well enough packaged, but must have got a knock in transit, lid off inside bubblewrap, stuff everywhere, probably still be on my hands at my funeral. Maybe can should have had these clip things on the lid.
