I can tell you that I used it for a very long time and also have a long child. It is probably one of the best bits of baby kit I owned. Great for clipping on the buggy and for having inside your big change bag, ready to whip out, quick as a flash, whilst other parents are rooting through trying to find all the bits and bobs they need. Once mine got to toddler age, I used to keep spare knickers/a lightweight outfit/wipes/snacks etc and I ditched the big change bag.
