I am happy to pay more for something that ticks all of ...
This particular doorbell system cost quite a bit more than some of those similarly available. However this type of product for me is one for which I will remember how well it performs, long after I have forgotten how much I paid for it - so quality was my key priority. I am happy to pay more for something that ticks all of the right boxes. Does it tick the right boxes? I have only owned this for one day, however from the onset I am already, so very impressed! This is why this product ticks the right boxes for me: 1) It is wireless and its three components (external push button transmitter plus two internal units for the "bell", look and feel well made. 2) It requires no batteries at all, even the external door mounted push button unit. 3) It can be installed in next to no time, with complete ease: The internal bell/chime units simply plug into a spare 240volt socket. The external push button unit was affixed to my PVC door frame using the supplied high quality 3M double sided foam tape that was pre-cut to the correct size to fully cover the back of the unit, ensuring secure fixing. I did use a degreasing cleaner on the door frame and back of the door bell knob unit, prior to fixing it in place. I feel confident that the push button unit will remain fixed securely using this method, although the supplied screws could have been used instead. For wooden frames, I would probably have used the screws. 4) The set up could not have been more simple. The instructions described how to "pair" up the two receivers to the transmitter (the door unit). I just plugged the two receivers into a spare 240 volt mains socket (one upstairs and one down stairs), pressed the knob and I found no need to "pair" the components as both bells rang straight away. Further testing was faultless, the system worked first time, straight out of the box. 5) The default "Ding Dong" tone is fine with me, so I won't even bother listening to the many others available, easily changed by pressing one of two buttons on the receiver bell units. 6) Volume wise, the receiver bell units have 3 levels (second button used for volume alteration), which in my opinion give a good range of options and 3 are plenty. I set our down stairs bell to the minimum, and the upstairs one to the middle level. These are fine for our 4 bedroom house, sufficient to be easily heard when the TV or radio is playing without being too loud and annoying. 7). Activation of the bell also gives a flashing blue light on the receivers which could be especially useful for anyone who has compromised or limited hearing, obviously assuming that the receiver(s) are strategically placed so as to have them visible, should someone ring the bell. Conclusion: Prior to purchasing this product, I had a big problem in working from home upstairs, not hearing anyone knocking at our front door. This excellent product provides a quality solution for me that ticks all of the right boxes!

Excellent
Delivery was super fast, we are not Prime customers. Ordered evening of 21st arrived 23rd. Well packed with the item in a Koopower box in an Amazon box. Pros. Good looking chime with a blue LED when the bell rings. Was a little worried about size and if it would interfere with other things plugged in a double socket, but it is fine, you can still use the other one. We use the standard Ding Dong and the volume is good. Set up is easy just need to hold down one button to sync with the push button. The push button is a little larger than a standard bell push but looks good, comes with a large pad to fix to your door frame. As the pad is just about the same size as the back of the bell push make sure you get it stuck on right fist time so you can't see it sticking out the edge. Bell push also has a window to write a note in it. The two chimes is a good idea, we have one down stairs and one upstairs. If you have a power cut or move the chime from one plug socket to another the setting are kept so you will not need to reset it. No batteries needed even in the bell push, it uses the energy use to push the button to send a signal to the chime, great idea. Cons. Just one small one. The only decent chime is the standard Ding Dong, would have liked a few more options as the other tunes are rubbish. Would I recommend, yes no problem, it's not the cheapest around but well worth the money.

Great value wireless and bettery free door bell kit that looks good and works well
This would be a 5-star review if the first unit sent out worked as described. The unit had an issue with the transmitter (bell-press) unit that meant you had to press the button twice to get the bell to sound. However, the vendor was very understanding and replaced the unit promptly. The new unit works as described. It is very easy to set-up and link to the receiver units and crucially, requires no batteries on the transmitter unit. Build quality looks good and the receiver units although somewhat large (don't plan to use anything other than a standard plug in the other socket if you plug this into a double wall socket) work well. The bell unit is easily fixed to UPVC door- frames using the heavy duty double sided Scotch tape supplied, although for wooden door frames, screws are supplied. Compared to typical high street units with two bell units, this unit is very competitively priced. Customer support is good too.[Update] After several weeks use, can safely say this unit is reliable and having multiple sounders works great for around different parts of the house. Don't think we've missed anyone yet :)

This is the door bell you're looking for
Arrived today and very impressed. My last wireless doorbell lasted approx year and a half before the button part died.... Probably from being rung for so many Amazon deliveries ๐ so I had a look for a replacement and found this. I was sceptical about this not needing a battery but it really doesn't use one! It works on a dynamo type function. The button is very tactile and gives a solid click when you press it in which produces enough energy to send the signal to the 2 receivers. I've got one upstairs on the landing and the other downstairs so that it can always be heard. The receivers have 2 options, volume and melody. The melodies are what you'd hear on a babies toy that plays basic polyphonic-esque type melodies. I don't think many will choose from the list available but I did smile when I heard "under the sea" from the little mermaid ๐ you can cycle through about 4 different ring levels but I'd rather not miss the doorbell so have set it to the max which also lights up blue when the bell sounds. Considering how much you'll spend over a few years in batteries for other types of wireless for bells that need them, this will pay for itself. Installation is literally 2 minutes which includes opening the Amazon box. Self adhesive pad that's supplied goes on the back and sticks directly to your door frame, window or any other smooth surface... Plug in the receivers in the wall and you've finished faster than a formula 1 pit crew. Naturally, we will have to see how well it holds up but time will tell.

No Batteries - Works Brilliantly
We had previously purchased a wireless doorbell from Amazon, but the batteries in the bell push only seemed to last a few months and they were an obscure size that you can't easily get at short notice. After scanning around on Amazon for a while I stumbled across this doorbell - it sounded too good to be true! But it really is great. There are no batteries for the bell push, it's quite a chunky little unit with a nice big rubberised button. There is a really satisfying click when you push it due to the fact it's an electromechanical operation rather than pushing a teeny microswitch in a battery operated one. It mounted to our door really easily with the adhesive pad provided and I see no reason that won't last. The ringer unit itself is nice. It is physically quite a bit larger than our previous units and clearly contains a larger speaker as the volume level is significantly higher than our previous bell. Also a big thank you to Phantom-FX for their review and mentioning it played 'Under the Sea', that was the clincher! It's a great start to the day when the postie rings the bell and we all start singing! :)

Great door bell
I read the reviews before I brought this and believe me this is worth buying. Can't believe the push bell works without batteries, ever. It has a transmitter that sends signal to the 2 electric plug in ringers. I have one plugged into my office which is in the garden, hence why I needed to be able to buy a door bell that would reach that far. There was no need to set anything up, all I had to do was to plug them in and that was that. I stuck the door bell onto my door frame as I didn't want to screw into my frame and the sticky pad that came with it looks like it is a very good quality one and looks like the only thing that would make the push bell comes off if you remove it. I suppose in time I will see. There is a good choice of rings tones but for me I have just choosen a basic ring one. The price is fantastic for this door bell and I won't hesitate to recommend this to all my friends and family

Best doorbell I've tried
I've tried several wireless doorbells over many years, and this is the best so far. The problem with all the others has been the poor battery life and the effect of low temperatures on the bell push battery. This one appears to have a (?piezoelectric) bell push, which doesn't need a battery (bit like a gas lighter). This has the advantage of there being a very definite "click" to the bell push. After more than 18 months in operation, it hasn't yet failed to trigger the ringers, which plug directly into the mains. I have these well spaced out so they are audible anywhere in the house. The only downside to this is that they're too far away from the front door to be easily audible to the caller - who often thinks the doorbell hasn't worked. The piezo crystal will no doubt have a finite life, but I can't see any reason to think it won't still be working several years from now. I would ideally like a third ringer with my house layout so we could have a repeater upstairs, but this is a minor detail from my point of view, more than offset by not having to be periodically irritated by dead batteries in the bell push!
