Optrex Actimist 10 ml Eye Spray - Fast, Long-Lasting Relief For Itchy, Watery, Dry Eyes, Irritations, Inflammations, Anti-Allergy Eyelid Cleanser

I have been suffering from itchy watering eyes due to working in a dusty office, I tried this as it claims to cure watering eyes, the spray goes everywhere, I held it 2-3 inches from my eyes which is closer than the instructions say, and the spray covered everything from my forehead to my cheeks! I wouldn’t like to try it over make up, it didn’t do anything for me, sometimes it actually made my eyes water more, sometimes it initially seemed to be helping but within minutes my eyes were watering again. Feel like I wasted my money on a gimmick. Warm compresses on my eyes had a better effect and now my eyes have cleared up.

The spec for these drops state that they repair the protective lipid layer of the eye. I purchased these for blepharitis. I had no other symptoms other than very watery eyes. At first, these drops felt ok, and were very easy to use, but after about a week, they started to really irritate my eyes making them overbearingly itchy. They did nothing to stem the watery eye condition; they made them water far more. So, sorry did not work for me.

Didn’t really do anything for me at all. I put it on as soon as I opened my package. About 30 mins later I went for a walk, and by the time I came home my eyes were sore and irritated again. I sprayed the product again - twice on each eye (as it says) and it just hasn’t done anything at all. It’s nearly two hours later my eyes are still super itchy they are very red and puffy/ watery. So the spray really hasn’t helped, for me, with any of the hay fever symptoms. I’m disappointed and now I’m going to have to try something else to help me get through the next few weeks…. On the positive side It is very easy to use, and it didn’t take off my eye shadow, so if you want to give it a try they might be some positives to consider. Just for me I wish I had had some relief from my symptoms and I don’t feel like I experienced any at all.

I suffer with extreme hayfever, with my eyes suffering the most. I had been using the optrex double Action eye drops, and if I used them at the first sign of my eyes itching they worked brilliantly. However I saw this product and thought a spray would be easier to use on the go. I was at work and my eyes began to get irrated I spray two time on each eye... It leaves my eyes feeling sticky for about 5 minutes, and then nothing. If anything it made them worst as it felt like my eye lashes we're sticking together. My eyes became more and more irratable, I battled through for a couple of hours and my hayfever was that bad I was so fed up I sprayed it on my open eyes still nothing. Unfortunately I brought 2 bottles of this and can't return the unopened packet. Had to leave work to go buy the eye drops as my eyes were so bad and they took the edge of slightly.

I bought this spray while trying to find something to ease the itchiness and soreness in my eyes. How the spray can have any effect on the tear membrane in the eye when you spray on closed eyes did seem strange but I thought it was worth a try due to the positive reviews. But it had no benefit for me whatsoever, just the feeling that I was doing something to try to relieve the miserable soreness in my eyes. Thankfully I have now found some drops for Dry Eye that really do work.

0 stars is not available. This is purely on the product not the seller. Bought this as I suffer from numerous allergies. Thought I get this for my eyes. Biggest mistake!! They dried my eyes out. Caused redness. Made my eyes itch even more & caused my eyes to swell up. If you buy, be careful. Would never buy again!!

I suffer from hay fever and it’s quite bad this year and I bought various bits including this to help as my eyes have been so sore but every time I spray this just feel like it irritates my eyes more and then up washing off my face everyone to their own personal preference but no this doesn’t help me at all

There is nothing wrong with the actual product. However, I just sprayed and realised that the bottle was empty. I had only been using it for 3 days. I have checked another bottle and it is half empty! Another bottle is actually full, but I am beginning to wonder if it is the real Mccoy. I am going to cancel my subscribe and save, and buy this produce from Boots in future.

It works; just a quick spray on (closed) eyelids and - bingo - your itching/dribbling and unhappy eyes take a turn for the better. At the very least, you'll have noticeable relief for a (variable) period. But I believe that they should cost less or - if the expensive is in the manufacture of the (otherwise perfect) 10ml bottle/mechanism, why not increase the size to even 40 - 50ml?
