They're made of solid rosewood and are very hard wearing. They're handmade with a leaf and vine design inlaid into the top of each coaster. The holder is also made with rosewood and has a nice gold pattern etched on the sides.They do have a strong earthy smell when it arrived but it's bearable. The colour of the coasters vary in shade with some being lighter and one being quite dark but it all adds to the unique handmade style.They measure 7.8cm in diameter and fits most of our mugs nicely. Overall I'm happy with this set. When they're not in use it's handy to have the holder to keep them in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ridiculously good value *by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 April 2019* For the money, these are soooo good, with their embossed surface and the bras inlay on the holder I think I’ll buy ten sets and give them as Christmas presents because they look like they’d cost bomb.My only slight misgiving is that they’re made from some exotic hard wood, described as ‘rosewood’ which is a word used to describe umpteen species of exotic hard wood and that perhaps it’s a species of tropical hardwood, itself as well as the forest from which it came, on the endangered list. And they’re probably made by four-year-old indentured child labour.
