Lightweight and easy to transport - very good quality
This is not the cheapest but it does fold up really small as a buskers mike stand and its sturdy when assembled. Happy to recommend.

Micโs last stand.
The best portable mic stand on the market.

A compact solution
With the narrowing of the bass - and addition of the companion screw-in boom, you can make this taller than any manAnd yet it folds up telescopically into roughly 50cm - it's amazing .. I used to cycle with it inside my gig bag, which had two instruments and a music stand AND my mic and leadThe design isn't perfect - after a while, the knobs will fail .. but it takes a fair bashing, which is why I replaced my old one with more of the same (after a good few years of constant gigging and mistreatment!)

My PA fits into a holdall
This folds down and fits into my holdall (medium sized gym bag size) along with a similar sized boom arm, rechargeable speaker, microphone and lead. leaving space (as necessary) for ipod, lyric tablets, and/or mini DJ mixer. One less "ยฃ50 quick cash from Cash Converters here" signal when I load up the car: it's easier to go to gigs on the bus or tube - or even manage the longer walks from where I parked the car. OK, it takes another minute to set up as there are 2 more joints in the stem and extensions on the feet, but my only reservation is that in my previous stand, one of the threads stripped. I am being much more careful about not overtightening with this one.

Very easy to use and compact.
I love the way it packs away so easy and small. It is well worth the money. It is quite heavy and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this item.

Good kit. Easy to travel with.
For a busker and on line musician like me this compact stand is good kit. However in windy conditions it does become less stable. Very compact indeed and easy to lug around
User
Sturdy and Compact
I like the stability and reach for the weight and packaged dimensions.Bought for busking with guitar Iโm also a Piano Vocalist and the Boom is long enough for that role as well
User
Good but over priced
Good quality metal stand however for what you pay it doesnโt come with a bag or a 3/5 thread adapter so that you can attach it to a standard microphone and tablet holder. You also have to purchase the tablet holder and microphone holder separately.
User
Not fully stable
Not extremely stable stand. Tablet on top and the stand is pretty shaky.

Very well made and collapses to a compact size
I teach and perform music and use PA gear frequently. When buying "budget friendly" mic stands and such from the local music dealers the quality and durability of what I can get with my school budget is limited. I bought the goStand for my own personal use on gigs and am really happy with it. It collapses to a very compact size, but better yet all of the collars on the tension screws are metal - not plastic as on most others, and the tripod legs extend as well giving a more stable stance on stage. I got one for my iPad mount and have been so happy with it I bought another with the boom attachment for a mic set up. They are more expensive that a lot of the others but will last much longer.

Very small, very stable, very sturdy
There are lots of much cheaper and similarly compact stands available but the magic trick that makes the goSTAND worth paying extra for is the extending legs. Those extra few centimetres make it almost impossible to knock over, even with a heavy microphone and plenty of accessories, including a guitar, attached. It's also handy if you are setting up on an uneven floor. I wish all mic stands had them. Simple and brilliant. The stand itself will, of course, wobble a bit, especially when fully extended - the shaft at the top is just too thin to stay fully rigid - but it can hold a lot of weight. Using a clamp-on bracket, I attach a heavy semi-acoustic guitar to mine, and a shelf for drinks etc, as well as a weighty microphone, all quite close to the centre of gravity but without any need to carefully balance them. I can push it quite far and it still won't fall over. I have even used it to hold a battery amp weighing a few kilos and it works well enough, though it seems rather wobbly with the top shaft extended - it should be strong enough but it feels precarious. Though you lose about 20-25cm by retracting that, it's still high enough to reach over seated people's heads. I am sufficiently impressed with this that I purchased a second stand, mainly for this purpose. The engineering is reassuringly solid and mostly heavy steel. The clamps hold on tightly, even under significant strain (see above). Because it uses so much steel it collapses very fast - too fast, in fact. Be very careful to hold the tube above when you undo a clamp because, when the tube slides down unimpeded, it goes fast and carries a lot of force. Those clamps really, really hurt if you happen to have the skin between two fingers in the way. I speak from blood-blistering experience. It is just a few centimetres shorter than I'd prefer. I'm 175cm (5'9") and, without a gooseneck, I need to stoop a little if I need to get close to the mic. It's OK from a foot or two away without one, and a 6" gooseneck is more than enough to get it to a good height for me..It looks a little unusual thanks to all those clamps and the tapering size of the tubes, but it's inconspicuous, much less noticeable with a mic lead wrapped around it, and I quite like the tech aesthetic.
