Until I found these, I was trying to make do with a Shimano lower jockey wheel to replace a seized SRAM on my RIVAL rear mech, but I couldn't replace my failing upper jockey wheel. Shimano jockey wheels use bushes, they are wider and both wheels are identical, whereas SRAM jockey wheels use bearings and the upper wheel has a thinner axle than the lower one. Consequently Shimano jockey wheels are more robust and slowly wear out but SRAM wheels run better if maintained but fail catastrophically.

I bought these because they specifically listed my derailleur (SRAM Rival) as being compatible. They are not. They came with one pair of metal spacers for a large bolt (axle) and two pairs of spacers for a smaller diameter bolt. Both derailleur bolts are the same size, which require the large spacers. This meant I could only fit one of the jockey wheels - I chose the upper, being more critical for accurate gear changing. I understand that upper and lower jockey wheels are different (they are labelled), but this is not part of the problem. If 2 pairs of both spacer size had been included there would have been no problem.

Easy to change and direct replacement for old SRAM units

I am a cycling nut and have never had a bottopm jockey wheel crack on me before until now on a Sram Force 10 speed rear derailleur. These were out of stock everywhere including Amazon but ordered them anyway and two weeks later were back in stock and delivered with no fuss. They do not come with jockey bolts so either preserve your old ones or buy new. Be aware that I had to destroy my jockey bolt as it was stuck fast and would not unscrew. Anyway the jockey wheels run very smooth so very pleased with the result.

This is more durable replacement for my broken SRAM derailleur pulleys.

Came in two pairs. Although only one of my rear pulleys (upper) needed replacement, I replaced all two together for a brand new look.
