I use it to power a raspberry pi system in the garden. Although this can power the pi directly with 5v I selected to use 12v because the project includes high powered devices with relays. I then have a separate voltage regulator for the Pi. While I was putting this all together I stupidly shorted the rails more than once. The PoE adapter seems to have protection from this and it cut out immediately and no damage was done. THis has been running for more than a year without any issues. Great price too. Great piece of kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only used injector *by M***N on 17 March 2012* I only need a PoE injector but I haven't found a better price than this even if I just throw the splitter away. It powered all the IP cameras I threw at it from Sony HD ones to big Lilin ones with beefy Infrared lights.
