For starters, this suited my application perfectly considering I picked it up for an older laptop with a failing internal wifi adapter, so my standards weren't set very high. The price was perfect and came in way below the cost to replace the internal wireless chip. It connected right out of the box without the need to install drivers, and performed better than the internal adaptor ever did. The design is very sleek and low profile. I didn't bump the adaptor once while moving the laptop around during my room-to-room signal tests. Its ability to pick up a strong or weak steady signal and hold it is great, especially since the laptop was from 2012 and naturally has slower hardware. Even tried out a little light gaming in each room and it held a connection beautifully. I'll likely purchase another one for another older gaming laptop I have, also from 2012 with a slow internal adaptor. That way I won't have to switch this one back and forth between setups If you're looking for a cheap and steady way to connect older hardware to the net, this will get the job done and definitely gets a "would recommend" from me. Works well, I had a laptop with a bad quality WiFi card built into the MOBO, installed this WiFi usb adapter and my speed went 5x easily. Easy setup with disc or online drivers.

Have an Asus Laptop...not the greatest but it is all I can afford. The wifi starred randomly disconnecting. I would have to put it to sleep to reconnect. It started happening more and more until finally I have to restart it to get it to reconnect. I just kept happening more and I believe it would have eventually given out. Obviously the wifi was failing. Bought this for sale for 17.99 and just plugged it in and BLAM. It worked. It came with a CD Rom and booklet but I didn't need either one which is good because my laptop doesn't have a disc drive. Drivers installed on their own. Be sure to disable your original wifi in your computer so the system doesn't default to that. Speeds are better than before which makes sense given mine was failing. I pay for a 100mbps connection and get 120 through here so I am very satisfied. I cant speak to range however since I am in a apartment so I am either in the same room as the router or in the bedroom but I get the same signal.

This adapter saved me a lot of grief and headache. A little over a month ago, I bought a desktop Dell Optiplex 7010 Tower computer on Amazon. This computer was marked down in price bc it was previously used but advertised as "good as new." I was very busy w other things and didn't open the box until a few days ago. When I finally opened the box and connected the various cables that came w the computer, I discovered that I couldn't connect to WiFi. I couldn't contact Amazon Customer Service nor the seller bc it was well past the 30 day deadline. I discovered that the WiFi adapter was missing in the box. I went on Amazon and read the reviews where some folks used this adapter on their Dell w success. I bought this adapter and another adapter (AX1800, Nano Wi-Fi 6 Wireless USB Adapter) in case the AC1300 Adapter wouldn't work; and besides, the AX1800 sounded more advanced and powerful. To make a long story short, the AC1300 worked but not the AX1800. If you're in a similar predicament like I was, save your money and get the AC1300, not the AX1800. Also, when you get an Amazon package, you need to open it right away to make sure nothing in the package is missing and/or the item is functioning as it should,

I bought this because my laptop Wi-Fi antennas have a break in them right at the joint where it opens and closes. I only figured it out by pure luck so instead of buying new antennas and ripping the laptop apart to replace them I decided to buy this nifty little Wi-Fi adapter. My speeds weren't great with the stock Wi-Fi to begin with, and I was lucky to get 15mbps out of the 100mbps we pay for. With this adapter it was plug and play and I get 4/4 signal with over 100mbps which is fantastic for being in an old house with shiplap walls, and it saved me a bunch of hassle not having to take apart the laptop and the adapter is just as small if not smaller than a wireless mouse USB plug in.

Tiny little beast so make sure its facing your router . I used mine on an older Dell XPS and got 30mbs which is roughly what I expected but got 12 mbs on a cheaper wireless adapter. Overall .. I'd buy another one .. Yes

Good enough. Expect around 250 Mbps on wifi if your home has gigabit speed. Less than advertised, but still plenty.

Te gonuna computadora Vaio del 2007 aún funciona pero ahora que la actualice a Win10 perdía la conexión del wifi y ni actualizando controladores funcionó, aunado a una conexión no muy rápida, con esta aparatito la conexión es estable y carga bastante rápido, la verdad lo recomiendo mucho si quieren revivir equipos viejos o pc que no tengan una tarjeta de red. 5 de 5.
