DYI for a whole different Purpose
While I did use it for DYI, I used the product to prevent my chair from that awful noise once you shift your weight. So, I removed the bar and placed it right under my chair to have a wider angle for weight displacement on my chair. What would you know, the noise is gone, and the chair feels much better when I sit (it's not rocking to the sides).

Does not fit VERTAGEAR chairs
Build quality is great looks very sturdy but since it does not mount to my brand of chair i cannot speak to the ease of assembly or how it feels when set up.

Budget friendly, Universal Mount too loose for joystick & throttle mount loose
This was my first after market mount. I thought it would be a good setup versus stock that came with my Thrustmaster Warthog & throttle. For those unfamiliar with that HOTAS and throttle, its heavy... Throttle alone is like 14lbs. HOTAS has a tight spring requiring force behind your control movements. Therein lies the problem... Initial impressions - 1. It fit my Secret labs chair, which was great. 2. hardware (nuts and bolts) were good quality 3. Telescopic tubing and structural components seemed like good quality After installation: - The adjustability is sub par. Sure there are various holes to adjust the height and thats fine if you plan on keeping your joystick and throttle mounted permanently. For me, I need to remove it to stuck chair under desk or during work hours I cant have a HOTAS and throttle sticking out during Teams calls. I purchased quick release pins in an attempt to make the swap easier, but I got over doing that quick. -After a couple weeks, the telescopic tubing got loose. A remedy was to wrap some painters tape around to close the gap in tubing. The repeated removal wore that away (of course). The throttle's weight kept it tight, but the joystick was not tight and would move, which was annoying. Closing thoughts - If you're looking for a budget friendly solution to the inbox mount then this could meet your needs. You can customize and fix the annoying issues listed above, but ultimately I'm building out my own mount to tuck beneath my desk. I'm going with aluminum extrusion measured specifically to meet my needs. Also, the customization is an added bonus. Lastly, I did like the ability to sit in my chair comfortably and control my flight sims with this product.

Difficult to overcome wobble
EDIT: The seller reached out to send me some parts to overcome wobble, it seems they had already been working on a resolution to the issue. The parts essentially are gap fillers for the steel pieces that attach to the chair itself and eliminate any space between both parts of the mount to create a more seamless seal. It works well overall, and I believe they should be packaging these updated parts in their product packaging going forward. I got fed up hitting my knees on my desk mounts when getting up, and I didn’t want to wait the extended lead time to get a Monstertech. Cue me ordering this thing… First off, no instructions were included in the box, however everything was simple to put together. It fit well to my SecretLab chair and I had no issues with assembly just figuring it out with stock images. The problem arises when the HOTAS is mounted on the plates, because the weight of the throttle and stick is solely resting on the sliding pieces connecting the plate arm to the base arm, if there is any room in between the pieces, you will get wobble. Unfortunately, this probably could have been overcome with a better designed system (see the way Monstertech mounts are designed). I know what you’re thinking, “a little wobble won’t bother me” and I thought the same thing. But it’s extremely annoying especially in high stress situations, such as tense dogfights where you have to manipulate throttle frequently. I was able to use some of the extra parts to rig a very basic support arm to the chair arm itself and eliminate all wobble on my throttle and I was able to overtighten the screws enough on my flight stick with an impact drill, so the mount ended up working for me in the end very well. And once I solved the wobble issue, I’m overall happy that I’m able to use my HOTAS from my chair and be able to spin the chair and get out of my sim pit very easily. I can’t rate this higher because of the design flaws that led to wobble of the system. If you’re not prepared for tinkering this thing yourself, and possibly buying more parts to get exactly the right setup you need, I don’t think I would waste my time on this one. In hindsight, I probably should have bit the bullet and waited for a Monstertech

Terrible design. Everything is loose.
This thing is garbage. I tried using it for the X52 HOTAS. Everything is loose, and shifts around; making it unusable. Will be returning and going with Monstertech. In fairness, this product is supposed to be universal, where Monstertech is product specific. So it was a good idea... just a terrible execution.

very sturdy, fits ALMOST any chair
good quality, works great with HOTAS mount. didn't come with M6 screws needed for my office chair, but would highly recommend if needed for your set up

Product is great if you are really handy and can modify it to work with your chair.
Obviously not designed for any specific Cchair, so the chances of it just working is not great. But with that in mind and some extra hardware, you can make it work. It is clunky looking and not sleek but for the price, it's a fair option.

Good fit
The Joystick holder connects easaly to the chair. It does add on a lot of width and that kan be disturbing if you do not have much space under your desk. Overall good purchase.

Very sturdy and fits my chair perfectly. It's really nice to be able adjust in so many ways.

Installed it on a Secret Lab Omega 2020, alongside the center joystick mount from the same brand. Both are well compatible with the chair and with each other. The product feels of a good quality. All-metal construction, nicely painted. The included mounts (rails, universal plate, a10c plate) make it possible to mount practically anything, albeit you might end up with the parts of the mount sticking out of the joystick/throttle (see how the rails extend way beyond the TWCS on the photo). I'm happy with the available adjustements (height, fwd/aft at the top bars), but if you would want to move the vertical bar fwd/aft that would be a bit tricky. The resulting setup is a bit clumsy: the chair has to be moved very carefully not to hit anything with the mounts. Cable management might be tricky. It is not specific to this particular product but to the general concept of chair mounts. I guess there'd be a different set of trade-offs if you go with desk mounts, so choose carefully. Removing the top part of the mounts from the chair and turning it back into an (almost) regular office chair is fast and easy (4 bolts), with the vertical bars only slightly extending beyond the chair dimensions. I got an extra under-chair mount plate in my box... I guess this means someone else didn't get one :( As others have already noted, there is some wobbliness due to the way the topmost (removable) part is mounted, see the video. I didn't find it too much of an issue when using a throttle, but I guess it could be worse if you use a stick. I suspect there might be some easy (and ugly) mitigation like sticking some toothpicks in the gap between the parts.

works for intended purpose
