C.K. T3744 Cable and Wire Rope Cutter, 190 mm L

Good tool, very sharp, nice clean cut.

Excellent cutters. Makes you realise how hopeless the traditional straight-bladed sort are, pliers also: always blunt with no shearing action like these. Had mine for a couple of years now and done lots of fencing with them (it?)

Is a very well made and study wire cutter that does what is says in the description and cuts through the chicken wire mesh fence like it was butter, even the wife likes using them so they must be easy to use. Unlike some other types these really are the business. Highly recommended.

I purchased these on the basis of 5 start reviews, and to avoid using the cutter I have at the end of a 24" swager for accurate cuts on 2mm SS wires. The cut is not quite as good as the swager gives but adequate, hence the 4 stars. Its still good and the tool seems well made.

Where I walk my dog there was a barb wire fence that had long since settled on the ground and was not longer fulfilling its original purpose. As a result it lay partially buried across a footpath. It had become a menace to walkers and in particular to dogs when being walked. I looked for a suitable tool and eventually found the C.K T3744 Cable and Wire Rope Cutter. I read the reviews which were a bit mixed, but on balance it seemed what I needed. I ordered it and It arrived very quickly. The following morning I took my dog for a walk, found the barbed wire (three strands intertwined) and like magic the cutters did their job. I was very pleased, as with minimum pressure the problem was solved. Recommended.

The tool was very effective at cutting through tough wire, it made a clean and consistent cut with little pressure applied. Unfortunately my dogs tail entered the cutting area as I was using the tool which nearly resulted in an expensive VET bill and a very painful canine experience. All is good though, there was no trauma done and he happily playing with his ball and chewing his bone.

I have had 2 pairs of the cutters now and used them to cut 52mm 4 core copper cable and lots of other thick cables and they are a seriously good piece of kit Expensive yes but I bought a similar pair from Amazon for £40 and got 9 cuts from them before they failed so bought a second pair of the C.K You do need to keep them clean and well lubricated with WD40 and check the bolts as they do need tightening slightly after a while but definitely worth the money

Superb and hard to fault. I bought them to be able to cut through a fishing hook, which they can with ease and cleanly too. My experience of a friend with a hook through their hand, made the idea of being able to cut a hook in such a situation a really good idea. You have to cut behind the barb/eye and push the hook through.

Ich habe den Drahtseilschneider gekauft, um ummantelte Seile für einen Seilturm aus dem Fitnessbereich zu scheiden. Die Seile haben einen Durchmesser von 5mm und sind mit dem Drahtseilschneider problemlos zurecht zu schneiden. Das Schnittbild ist sauber und die Seile spleißen nicht auseinander. Natürlich sollte jedem Käufer klar sein, dass aufgrund der verringerten Hebelwirkung der notwendige Kraftaufwand höher ist, als bei einem Bolzenschneider. Dafür passt dieser hier problemlos in die Werkzeugkiste, was mir dann doch deutlich lieber ist. Der Drahtseilschneider ist sauber und stabil verarbeitet. Ich gehe davon aus, dass er noch ewig halten wird.
