Secondly, trimming all the cores to the same length is essential with the standard connectors so that they all come to rest exactly in line at the end of the plug and whilst you can trim them easily before they enter the plug, they have a tendency to then change alignment such that the odd core can become slightly shorter and not reach the end of the plug in line with the other cores leaving doubt that they will all connect when crimped. These 'open-ended' connectors overcome this as you can set the order, trim them roughly in line with each other, pass them all the way through the plug and then check the order and accurately trim them just over-length, ease them back to sit flush with the plug end and then crimp them. I achieved a positive connection with every one I used and did not need to re-make any ends, whereas this is commonplace with the standard connectors. I would always use this type of connector in future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very good product but the boots are solid plastic not flexible for some reason *by G***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 January 2022* The boots are solid plastic and not flexible for some reason very hard to fit on Cat 6 solid copper core.Also I don't think you would be able to push them all in at one time, I stripped the wires all back about 60mm and straightened them (very important) then pushed one at the time through and it seams to work every time. My sanity saved and so much quicker. I have wired the whole house with cat 6 and these cut the project time in half.
