Happy Cockatiels
My cockatiels love this stuff. I converted them from seeds to this as they were picking out their favourite seeds and not getting a balanced diet. I know with this food they will be having all around balance and the vitamins that they need. I would recommend if you make the switch from seeds, that you do it slowly just adding a few of these in with the seeds every day and build it up until you eventually transition, or it could be a shock to their digestive system (as with changing any pet food)

Good quality bird food
Great smell and the birds love it. No dust and no mess the birds eat every bit. Much cheaper than the expensive food I was buying before

Smells like bubble gum
Smells like bubble gum , my cockatiel just won't eat anything that is good for him. After reading reviews I figured I'd give this a go. Nope he wouldn't touch it, so I took the seed completely away and just left this, in the end he had a nibble at it but it gave him bright green almost glow in the dark diarrhea, and he he managed to pull the bowl off the side of the cage and launched it onto the floor. He's about 10 years old now so I guess I can't teach an old bird new tricks. Back to his seed and mashed potatoes and peas and sweetcorn. I give up I don't know why it smells funny, the product is very colourful. The wild birds love it though 😄

Success
First of all we need to consider that this food is not specifically for Cockatiels. The pack states "Cockatiels Lovebirds Rosellas Parrotlets". It is referred to as "for Cockatiels" simply because there is a picture of a Cockatiel on the front of the pack. What we should be considering is the comparable size of the bird. Third time lucky for my 6 months old Green Cheek Conure named Rio. I initially followed advice to provide a larger size of pellets but that proved to be wasteful. When he tried the pellets which was rarely Rio would take a bite out of a pellet and then drop it to the bottom of the cage. The larger pellets therefore proved to be wasteful so I changed to a smaller size of pellet. Two failed brands of rainbow pellets on and I arrived at this HARI Tropican small size. At first when hand fed a pellet Rio ate it, wiped his beak on his perch and went for some water. He didn't immediately go back to the HARI Tropican and ignored it but two days later he was eating it. My method is not to mix the pellets with seed but serve them in different pots. The pot containing the Hari Tropican pellets is placed high in the cage and this entailed buying an extra pot and an extra perch but I was going to buy a sanded perch anyway. His seed food is placed at a lower position in the cage. In practise Rio eats both, seeds first thing in the morning and pellets the rest of the day. If I mix seed and pellets together Rio eats the seed and leaves the pellets. Lastly, Parrots are very much individuals and what suits one parrot is not successful with another parrot. But based on my experience Tropican Lifetime Granules is at least worth a try.

Bird seems to like these
1st time trying these. My lovebird seems to like them. More expensive than a bigger bag is, at my local pet store.
