Fresh, Deep Clean for Your Washing Machine — Works Well Overall! I’ve been using this Dr. Beckmann washing machine cleaner to keep my drum fresh and free of build-up, and it’s definitely helped improve the smell and cleanliness of my machine. It’s really easy to use — just pop the powder in and run a hot empty wash — and afterwards the drum smells fresher and doesn’t have that musty odour that can build up over time. This product seems to do a good job of eliminating lingering smells and helping flush away residues that regular washes don’t always remove — which means my clothes smell cleaner too. A few people also use it when buying a second-hand machine or before storing one, and have noticed noticeably fresher results. I gave it four stars because it does recommend using a pretty hot cycle for best results, which isn’t ideal if you’re trying to save on energy — but that’s typical for deep cleaning products. Overall, solid value for the price, and I’ll keep using it every couple of months to maintain a fresh washing machine!

I used Dr. Beckmann Service-it Deep Clean Washing Machine Cleaner as a maintenance clean for my washing machine, and overall the results are mixed but acceptable. On the positive side, it does a good job of eliminating bad odours. After the wash cycle, the drum smelled noticeably fresher, and it definitely feels more hygienic. The claim of removing bacteria and fungi seems reasonable based on the freshness it leaves behind, and it works well as a regular deep-clean product. However, when it comes to stain and residue removal, the results are not perfect. Some visible stains and buildup inside the drum and rubber seal were reduced, but a few stubborn stains still remained, even after following the instructions carefully. I expected a slightly stronger cleaning action for tougher residue. Overall, it’s a good cleaner for odour control and general hygiene, but if your machine has heavy or long-standing stains, you may need a stronger product or a second treatment.

Very effective at removing unseen build up in machine you can’t see. How I know? I used it as directed on the package and was astonished by the amount of soap build up dislodged, during machine clean! I hadn’t done a deep clean for my machine in 2 months and it just flushed so much out. I had to do wipe cleaning and rinse as after there was limescale in drum that needed wiping away. Then 6 weeks later I used this again and even more build up flushed away. I live in very hard water area. I use one laundry pod with Calgon and occasionally vanish. This product will keep my machine healthy. Affordable as well!

Really good at removing smells, and does make the drum look shiny! The product instructions say to place it directly into the drum, but I place a little into the powder drawer to clean out the pipes too. They aren’t too expensive and I feel they are very effective, it’s fun to watch it foam up! I have these on Amazon subscription, as I do go through them! I also prefer them to other machine cleaners I have tried.

I think it is common knowledge just how hard it is to get rid of black mould, and many people have this issue from bathrooms, to garages, cars etc, but I wasn't expecting to find it in my washing machine. I had pulled back the seal just by accident and I was completely SHOCKED by how much there was growing in there. I immediately went online looking for washing machine cleaners, and found this one. I know Dr.Beckmann make a tremendous carpet stain cleaner, so I thought why not try this..... I have to say, I am mightily impressed. My washing machine looks literally BRAND NEW inside the drum. Could not believe it. That was just after pouring one box in and putting it on a 60 degrees celcius wash. It smells cleaner, and one thing I have noticed is that my washing, when I air dry it, now smells a lot cleaner too. This was great value for money to the point I bought 5 of them. Instructions are clear and it is easy to use. It comes in a good quality, little carboard box, no plastic packaging, so you can recycle it no problem. I am very impressed and would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to clean their washing machine with ease.

Did a great job removing buildup and keeping my machine fresh. The process was easy and straightforward. My only minor gripe is that it’s a bit expensive for regular use, but overall it’s a reliable cleaner I’d recommend.

Works better than other cleaners to break down drum scum. Odor problem has dissipated. Sometimes the powder leaks from the packaging but not significantly.
