I bought this to use with an old DEWALT laser outside for fence work. It appears to work well which is great news. My laser is a DW088.

This does exactly what it says it does - very impressive! Try using your Dewalt red laser level outside in bright sunshine and you'll fail! The line is simply not bright enough. Take this and walk 100 feet away and it will see what you can't see! Even when the sun is shining directly on it - amazing! Incredibly accurate, even at large distances. We are talking less than a couple of mm here! My only issue is there is no volume control on the beeps it produces and they are LOUD! The beeps are either on or off - so I turn them off because they hurt my ears! That costs one star! Great product - just needs a volume control!

This is absolutely spot on! Really helped a lot with the levelling of the ground to prep for concrete. Bonus is that it was a LOT cheaper than anywhere else

I am using it in conjunction with my standard red line laser. Accurate and easy to use. Works outside in bright sunshine where visibility of the standard laser line is imposable

Easy to use, picks up beam when it is difficult to see, quite pricey but does work well.

For ground work its a must have tool. I love it. Works with any red laser that i tried it with. Read the instructions as tell how to setup properly.

I don't need a rotary laser and this works with the Dewalt laser I already had. I was able to get a read up to at least 120 feet from my laser. It is sensitive to harsh sunlight though. In the late afternoon, you need to shield the detector window to get it to work. I just put my hand above, enough to cast a shadow on it, for it to work. One gripe, sticky rubber pads on the clamp sound like a good thing but if you are sliding the unit up or down a rod while getting a read, this is a hassle. Just cover the rubber with a little blue tape or even better, the loop part of velcro and it makes it much easier. It is extremely sensitive the closer you are to the laser but for what I was doing, this wasn't a problem. Used it to grade sewer and rain water collection lines, made it a piece of cake.
