The Original Asia 18" Teak Shower Bench

I bought this for my wife's shower cubicle, she has spinal stenosis and can't stand for any period of time longe than a few seconds. This teak stool is easy to put together, very sturdy and beautiful quality. She's used it many times since it arrived and it has changed her life by allowing her to take her time while showering, and she says it's extremely comfortable.

Solid, easy to put together (6 bolts), looks stylish not medical and comfortable to sit on. It has adjustable feet as well which is handy on a sloping wet room floor. It arrived a week before expected as well which was a bonus.

really love the seat

I read through the reviews and thought this sounded good and was also stylish - it appeared to be stylish whereas all of the other 'shower seats' looked flimsy and with no thought put into the design. Of course decent design and function costs and this is not a cheap item but i thought it worth the money. It was delivered in a heavy substantial box and and very well packed along with everything needed to put the four components together including 6 stainless steel bolts, a decent allen key and full instructions. It took less than 10 minutes to put together. First impressions were just how well it had been manufactured and also pleased to see four rubber type feet which are adjustable to allow for adjustment for uneven floors and also protect the surface it is standing on. Both my wife and I are well past retirement age and need to use a seat in both a shower or a bath and this works well in both situations. In fact we are both so impressed that we have just ordered a second stool for our downstairs bathroom!

I hesitated but now it has arrived, I have no regrets. Even the box and packing are as superior to normal boxes, as the stool is to other stools (thick solid cardboard, interior foam molding and box side adhesive cushions; rattle free). This really stands out. It comes disassembled but the 6 long hex screws are easy to fit with the provided alan key, though I had a longer one of my own to speed things up even more. It is very stable and has reassuring 'heft' and finish. The fittings, overall thickness and density, are as you'd exect at this price point. I'd think an annual teakoiling will be sensible but it needs nothing the first year. This is a very substantial, solid teak, curved-not-molded elegant seat, water resistant, suitable for shower rooms (useful to clean your feet, shower safely or sit and dry your hair). It's easy to lift but heavy at 8kg (17.5 lbs). The 4 heavy duty rubber feet are +/- 10mm height adjustable. An investment that will last. It shows its quality at a glance. It'll suit a (larger) shower, wet room or even a muddy porch. You should consider the space availble carefully: The 300x450mm (12x18") seat takes more space that you might instinctively think for a mere stool. It'd not be ideal to sit on it's short side due to its curve. At 45cm (18") high it is slightly higher than shorter people might find easy for long sits. RECOMMENDED

Love this stool, purchased because of a carpal tunnel procedure but didn’t want the usual medical supplies making my bathroom look like a hospital. It fantastic and well worth the money, very sturdy and comfortable to sit on. I will also use it with my music stand to practice playing my cornet so a very useful and comfortable addition to my home

Arrived late, but received a warning email. Looks great, but not as dark as on the picture.

The shower bench came well packed and the contents individually wrapped for extra security. The bench was extremely easy to be assembled with good quality screws and an Allen key which was strong enough to get a good purchase when tightening the screws. There are adjustable feet so if your shower has different areas for the water to drain away, the feet can be adjusted to sit flat and not wobble. When assembled, the bench is a little heavy but that also gives you confidence to sit on it,

And a beautiful design that feels very solid and stable. I’d been hesitant about buying this, as I wondered if it would be as good as the pictures. It is every bit as good and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m very happy- it’s lovely.

Muito bem embalado. Montagem simples

My rental house has a shower without a seat, so I bought this stool to get by. It is very solid and heavy. I appreciate the curved seat, it looks nice and is comfortable. It was easy to put together and fits perfectly in my shower, which is 3 x 4. It is nice enough that I expect to keep it for many years.

Magnifique. On fait le montage soi-même. Très facile. Livraison très rapide. Excellent produit.
