WEN RT1460 6-Amp Handheld 1/4-Inch Variable Speed Laminate Trim Router for Woodworking

I purchased these routers (x2) to install in my workbench, the routers are well made and handles 1/4" shank bits. I use one router with a round over bit installed and the other with a flush trim bit installed. The routers have plenty of power to use on solid hardwood, and seem have a lower noise level than my larger routers and other trim routers. So essentially I have a dual router system set up on my workbench. The package seemed very heavy when I received it as I was expecting a light weight cheaper router but boy was I surprised when I opened it up to reveal a well made solidly built router, the weight is solid and preforms very well. I would recommend these routers for handheld or table mount. For the value versus the price you can't beat it. As I mentioned I purchased 2 of these to use in my woodworking shop. The router comes with a convenient guide fence for straight cuts and a trim guide that can be used for irregular and curved edges. My final rating is 5 stars for the product I am extremely happy with my purchases.

Nice router for the price

This arrived on time and was exactly what I ordered. This is a great little trim router for the price. I have only used it a couple times, but I can tell this one is going to be used a lot. I love that it is a variable speed trim router, and there really is no fussing with the set up. It comes with some accessories, nothing I would use, but the same can be said with every router I have ever purchased. For the cost, this thing is great. If wen wanted to charge a little more, and include a poly case, i'd pay and extra 10$-15$ for this thing. It is the only thing I wish it came with. That being said, I am giving it 5 stars for it's usability.

It's variable speed and small size make this little router a versatile tool for my hobby woodwork. I use it either freehand or on a table. I suspect it is sensitive to the low quality of the bits I have cause it gets hot, almost untouchable. It comes with accessories that you might find useful. Nothing fancy here. Just a basic simple tool that works. Good price too.

Never used a router in my life but this made it easy to learn and use. Works great. For diy and beginers

The collet slips a lot, I think the whole thing gets too hot. It does work though, I think if you just need something for very light duty. If you just need to do small projects and you're on a budget this is fine. This is not a tool that runs well for a long period of time, nor is it super precise, if you're need something that's gonna see a lot of use hours I'd invest in another router.

I don't understand why someone would purchase a $150 router when this one exists. Quality, easy to use, go ahead and get yourself this one and save yourself some money

Im a professional woodworker and dont normally buy cheap tools. I saw these and thought "for $50, I can permanently keep 1 with a tiny chamfer dialed in to my preferences and a second one with a permanent roundover set to perfect height and save time." BOTH of the 2 i bought couldnt take a router bit. It wouldnt go in. I am using premium whiteside bits. Took my digital calipers to the shanks and they are 0.2485 which is great. But the collects on my routers wont open past 0.20. They wont fit the bit that they are designed to hold. Tech support over the phone was absolutely useless and stumped as to why. I am returning them both

Decent router for the price. It's not the same quality as my Makita or Bosch routers, but for the price it's hard to beat. I bought it for a dedicated circle cutting jig and it does the job just fine. The included attachments would also be useful to anyone using it as their primary router.

No corresponde al precio. Más por lo que pagas. Este mini router es muy bueno. Funciona muy bien a Bajas y altas revoluciones. No vibra, la base es de aluminio y es precisa, la guía lateral y las llaves son de un buen calibre.

Trabaja bien PERO!!! La tuerca de sujeción es para brocas de 6 mm las de 1/4 =6.35 NO ENTRAN..... NO TIENE luz led.....

Tiene variación de velocidades y sus materiales se ve que son de buena calidad.
