Lace up boot Review: The sizing for these boots is just nonsense - I was extremely careful to buy the same size and brand as a previous purchase. Imagine my surprise when the items delivered were a full men's size larger than the first pair. About to enter the returns merry-go-round... Review: So far so good, Nice boot, Nice quality - Been trying to find a high quality, nice leather boot for some time. Tried the red wing iron rangers, the thorogood dodgeville, florsheim foundry, frye logan and these frye john addison lace ups. The red wings were a beautiful, superbly made boot in my opinion. I tried them in multiple sizes, the recommended size was a bit snug and even after a few days of breaking them, they just were too tight around the balls of my foot. The next size up presented too much extra leather, sometimes things just dont work out, and I think thats how it is with the red wings for me, just a fit that didnt work out. I then ordered the thorogood dodgeville's, but for some reason they are almost impossible to find, I wasnt able to get what size I imagined i would be but tried ona larger size. The boot seemed great and if I were able to get them in my appropriate size, there was a strong chance I would have stayed with them. The florsheims were outclassed by all the other boots, the quality just didnt seem on par with the other guys. The Frye Logans I received were sent erroneously, I received a weathered, distressed pair, which was not to my liking at all so back they went. And then finally the Frye John Addison came. This was I think the only pair without a cap toe but I did very much like the overall quality of the boots, the look of the boots, and liked the fit of the boots as well. They may not be the best looking, as I think the iron rangers may have edged them out, they may not be the most comfortable, as I think the thorogood in the right size would have nailed that category, but if you took comfort, qulaity, looks all into consideration, I am pretty confident the Frye's hold their own. I hope this helps, and I will update this if anythings needs revisiting.

So far so good, Nice boot, Nice quality

Very comfortable, high-quality boot
I've had them for a couple weeks. Conditioned with the oil spray...darkens at first but will lighten up once dry. Very comfortable, high-quality boot.

My favorite pair of shoes/boots I have ever purchased
4th pair of Frye boots. Already have a pair of boots very similar to this that I wear almost everyday. My favorite pair of shoes/boots I have ever purchased. Current boots fit perfect. Normally wear a 10 1/2 but bought a 10. I bought them at the Frye store in NYC. These boots I purchased on Amazon. They will soon be my favorite. Design is perfect. Size is a bit large. I bought a size 10 but they feel more like an 11. They are 1/2" longer than current boots size 10 boots. Other than that, perfect!

The Construction Quality is Good
The issue is that Frye's customer service is non-existent if you have any issue with your purchase. These boots are not worth the retail price, but for a discount the quality is adequate. Unlike most of Frye's current offerings, these are still "Made in America". The biggest downfall is the company now has next to no customer service, but I guess that is the benefit of ordering from Amazon is that you don't have to actually deal with Frye's. I can no longer support this company, as their quality is fading, and they no longer care to provide any customer service for any issues.
