These strings sound great and feel nice to play. I bought these for my cheap Jazz hollow body, I normally use 9's in my electrics and 10's in my acoustics so I was worried that using 12's would be too much of a jump in gauge, but they're not, they feel nice and slinky to the touch and sound and feel so much nicer and warmer than the roundwounds that were on it. It's a joy to play acoustically/unplugged, inspiring even, I want to play it finger style all the time which I don't even do on my acoustics. The only issues I have (apart from cost - but then you get what you pay for) is the red thread wound around the ends. It looks cool but is only on the wound strings so at the same time looks odd (purely aesthetic) the wound strings are silver and the unwound are gold which also looks a bit odd, but the biggest problem is that because of the red thread the 2 thickest strings will not fit into the holes of my machine heads (Wilkinson EZ-Lock) so I had to enlarge the holes. Had I gone for a heavier gauge I would have had to enlarge 3 pairs of tuning peg holes and by quite a lot for the thickest string which would leave me worrying about the strength of the post. This may not be an issue with other machine heads but for my newly fitted Wilkinson EZ-Locks it most definitely was. Is that an issue with the strings being too thick or the holes being too small? Without that problem they are worthy of more than the 4 out of 5 stars given, in fact they'd be an 11 out of 10!

These strings are for the archtop jazz guitar, and used as such, they have no equal. From the plated plain steel to the pure nickel windings on a round core, the quality of manufacture, quality control, precision of intonation, and of course, the rich full sound, both acoustic and amplified, is second to none. Expensive, well, yes, although the Amazon price is pretty good, but you really do get what you pay for. Real quality always costs that bit more.

Just about everyone I know, non-guitarists included, think I have a brand new guitar! The sound is far superior, which adds to my own confidence in ability to play well. Love these strings! Makes me want to play even more! ;)

Heb jaren op mijn jazz gitaren op D'Addario Flat Wounds gespeeld dikte 11. Omdat ik de laatste tijd veel hoorde over Thomastik JS112 snaren heb ik ze zelf eens geprobeerd met een zeer gunstig resultaat. Het is diktemaat 12, maar ze zijn veel gemakkelijker en soepeler te bespelen en de toon is ook veel duidelijker en helder. Ben zeer tevreden over deze reeks en heb ze ondertussen op mijn andere jazz gitaren gelegd.

I like to use these strings on my jazz archtop guitars. They are smooth on the fingers, and they are not like some flat wounds that produce a dull thud. The attack sounds good. Through Amazon, these strings were $7 less than one seller and $12 less than another.

Ich hatte sie schon mal, probierte andere aus, und kam zu dem Schluß, daß meine Ovation Mulihole Westerngitarren mit diesen Saiten am besten klingt !!!! Richtig fett, und butterweich zu spielen!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😃

Faccio una premessa, ho sempre utilizzato corde ruvide poichè principalmente suonavo solid body o "semihollow". Due mesi fa ho comprato una hollowbody a cassa larga dove erano montate delle corde lisce ma di un'altra marca nota. Conoscenzo la fama di queste corde ho deciso di provarle e sono rimasto davvero sorpreso. Rispetto a quelle che avevo montato a parità di scalatura le Thomastik hanno dei bassi più bilanciati e soprattuttto hanno un carattere "acustico" più pronunciato. Per chi ama i suoni nel jazz sicuramente le migliori corde! Assolutamente CONSIGLIATE
