Q: does the gauze stick to the wound, and how long do you leave it in place for please?

My GP practice used this for a deep wound where there was an inch gap where the skin had been torn off. The gauze is well impregnated and will dry out over time, which might lead to minor sticking. Instructions are to leave it on for 7 days and ensure it remains completely dry which is quite a hassle! I have since used it for less serious wounds and changed the dressing after 3/4 days in which case it does not stick and is remarkable at healing

Q: Does it help to reduce scarring of wounds that have already healed?

Hi it wouldnt sprecifically help scarring...however if applied to wounds it will help heal quicker and with less scarring i believe. Bio oil would be good for healed scars.

Q: Do I put the dark side into the wound?

The dressing has paper on both sides. To apply remove paper from one side and apply exposed side onto the wound. When in place remove the other piece of paper and dress as normal.
