Another great book!
Austrian grandson really enjoyed this book - over and over again! Really good story, and very good if you have a child who has to go into hospital for some reason. It's portrayed in a very positive light, as Topsy wants to go into hospital too. Should allay any fears your wee one has.

For kids about kids and topics familiar and relative to them
My daughter (4y10mo) loves these series. She listens to them on yoto player very often and I decided to get her printed versions. The best thing is that these stories picture real children (not just some made up creatures) and cover topics of their day to day life. We also enjoy the puzzles on the last page.

Great story!
I absolutely love this series as much as my young niece and nephew aged 5 and 4. I bought this for my niece who was preparing to have her tonsils removed. As always, you can expect detailed but simple explanations for a first time experience as this. Much like Topsy & Tim my niece and nephew do a lot of first time stuff together so it helped my niece feel comfortable about what lay ahead and my nephew understand why his sister would have to spend time away from home. Another great job in the series!

Great for preparing little ones for hospital visits
A lovely engaging book. Really helped to prepare my little one for going in to hospital. We read it everyday in the run up to his hospital visit and it really helped to demystify some of the going so on in hospital. He was quite looking forward to his hospital trip in the end.

Good for a small child about to have surgery
My nephew was going to have his tonsils out and this book is perfect to reassure small children for whom going to hospital might be very scary.

Wonderful books
The Topsy and Tim books are wonderful! The books focus on everyday things and activities in ways that children can relate. It also exposes and discusses things that might not have happened yet but very well could (e.g. going to the dentist, moving to a new house, etc.). For young children, fantasy books can be difficult because they are still working out what is and is not real. In this book, Tim spends time in a childrens' ward. My family in the UK sent us our first two and we've proceeded to acquire a whole set. Fair warning, the books are British, so if you were raised in America you'll see some new words such as trainers (running shoes), lorry (semi truck), nursery (pre-school), tea (a late afternoon snack / light meal), as well as alternate spells such as "mummy" and "centre".

A lovely children's book in the Topsy and Tim Series, perfect for 5/6 year olds. I will buy more in the series
