Fast and nimbie but terrible landing
Takes a while to get into the air, and there is NO way it is handtossable. 9 hand tosses 9 get new replacement because the nose broke. His wings are not very strong and the gears suck. But I love him I still rate him as 5 out of 5

Great flyer
Working great everything I would expect for a spectrum operated E flite model

HOLY COW is this thing BADA$$
Sweep the wings and get your Maverick on!! With AS3X this thing handles perfectly. Looks fantastic in the air and handles even better. Safe isn't too limiting so it's usable while you get used to how she handles. I even launched it with the wings swept, no problems. This thing flat moves for it's small scale. best $220 I've spent in a LONG time. I fly mine in my local park early when nobody is around. Thanks E-flite for giving us what we have asked for years. Now if you would just release it in different livery's

Fragile like a potato chip
Extremely fragile, horrible (Non existent) customer service at Horizon Hobby. This plane seems to be made more as an experiment than for an advanced RC Pilot. Having flown & own over a dozen RC EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jets, this is the worst on the market. Buy an XFly F-14, bigger, better, cheaper and a perfect smaller scale F-14.

Love this jet!
I love this jet. Wouldn’t recommend as a first jet. A little tricky to land. Wish it was a little bigger but it still looks great in the air. Once trimmed it’s about as easy to fly as my 64mm Viper. Quickly becoming my favorite.

Defective Flight Controller
After four "lost signal" crashes I discovered that the Flight Controller simply stops powering the motors with the throttle below 20%. It's definitely a production error and can be verified as a defect during bench testing. Move the throttle between 25 and 0 percent throttle. Eventually the motors will quit while flight surfaces still function. It takes a few seconds for the flight controller to function again. But in this amount of time you've probably wrecked. I fly it with my throttle trim all the way up and it keeps the motors at 20% at idle. This keeps the flight controller from flaking out. I'm sorry E-Flite but you've got to know what's going on.

Good smooth flying bank and yank.
Very solid in the air, but not for beginner as you have to keep the speed up on this one. There is no rudder and you have to come in hot on the landings. Excellent little plane for the cost.
