Our half bath was cold and our master bath toilet pipes froze. This encouraged me to buy this Bemis heated toilet seat. I did my research beforehand. I like it is American made and it is highly rated as the best. Well, so far they are proving to be true. Only takes about a minute to heat. 3 settings. And a nightlight. I saw other photos of the nightlight being more bright. I didn't even know ours was on til night. It is so dim but I didn't buy it for that. My husband noticed it and liked it. I was afraid it was not going to fit out toilet because our toilet measured 17" and this is 18" BUT it has a notch to adjust it to make it fit and it fit perfectly. Something else I like is the soft close. It took me only a few minutes to install. Quite durable. And I think not too bad on price. I know it was a little more expensive than I hoped but you get what you pay for.

This has to be 1 of the best items ive ever ordered from Amazon! It gets a little cold in this older Victorian home. So the ol Porcelain throne can sometimes make ya squeal a Lil late at night. But "NOT" anymore. You can turn it on low and in just few very short minutes, you'll be sighing relief as you loosen up a Lil as you squat. 😉 The heated seat feels very nice on the ol bum. I wouldn't advise the high setting because it can make you fall asleep.(I'm speaking from experience)😆 And please don't get me started on the ol blue light special in the bowl! Ive always wanted to just stand and pee all over blue lights! 😆 🤣 But honestly it makes it quicker because you don't have to flip the ol light switch anymore. It has 1 bright led in the middle and at 1st I was upset, thinking it wouldn't be bright enough...well let me tell ya, I was soooooo wrong on that 1. I've had to wave off helicopters trying to land on my roof...sorry, I know, poor humor, my bad. But it does look cool at night. And it makes you clean your toilet more often to, cause it makes anything not white GLOW. So, all that being said. If you like a nice comfy seat that keeps the ol winter chill squeals to a bare minimum and if you like to have headlights for your uh, (well you know), then this is the seat for you!! Installs very easy and quickly. And it's made pretty good to. Way better than the higher priced ol plain seats at local big W. I'll never go back to the ol wally world seats again. Your bum with thank you.

Just let me start by saying I have bought a total of 6 of these in the last 10 years and it's not due to failure! We bought our first one approximately 10 years ago and liked it so much we bought 2 more for our other bathrooms. We later sold the house and left them for the new owners as a "house warming gift". We built a new home and bought 3 more and that was 7 years ago with no failures and we leave them on year round. When guests come over they always comment on the pleasure of a warm seat and many of them have purchased the same Bemis brand seat! As I get older it's the small things in life that are pleasures and this is one of them. Trust me if you've never had the opportunity to use one I highly recommend this one!

I had thought about such a product before then dismissed it as an oddity, but no more. I've had this toilet seat coupled with a Glacier Bay Dual Flush toilet for about three weeks now and so far I'm happy with both. It's so nice to not have a "cold shock" to the rear on cold days and during the night. I went with Bemis as opposed to other brands as they have been in the business for a very long time and seem to have quality products. At this point this certainly appears to be one of them. Unlike most other selections, this seat offers three heat settings plus it can be turned off (as well as the light) without unplugging it. The heat cycles through the settings and off by repeatedly pressing the button. The light is a simple on/off. It also offers soft closure which I've been sold on for some time now. The heat settings are as follows (according to the manual): Low - 97 degrees Med - 100 degrees High - 104 degrees So far, I've found that the low setting is just fine but to each his/her own. The power cord is about 3 1/2 feet long or so. Plenty if you have an outlet located close to the back of the toilet as it should be. On the subject of the outlet, I installed a GFCI outlet as you can see in the pictures so no extension cord is needed and should not be used. On the break away bolts that hold the lid down. I read where some people had problems with them but they seemed to work ok for me. The seat seams to be plenty tight. BTW, I installed two of the seats, one for my Dad in his bathroom and one in our master bath. About the only thing that I would have improved on is the brightness of the night light. I wouldn't mind a dimmer setting as it really lights up the bathroom. Any more and we'd have to close the bathroom door to sleep. I do like the blue color though. Also, on the ease of installation, it's no problem if you already have a convenient outlet but not so much if you have to install a new one just for it. I certainly didn't want to have a cord in a place where someone might trip over it. One last thing is that it's definitely on the pricey side. Overall, I'd say that Bemis has a quality product and recommend it for those who don't like "cold shock" when you need to go.

Got this for my cabin in the cascade mountains because the toilet seat was always cold now it’s nice and warm and we love the nightlight inside.

So, this Fall I've suddenly become aware the toilet seat seems pretty chilly. Since I broke a hinge on my 15 year old American Standard, I needed to casually seek a replacement seat. So, I turned to Amazon to bring one to me. This extravagant awesomeness, not yet installed 24 hours, is the bomb. The gentle heat (lowest setting) feels so friendly when one takes a seat, WHY would anyone be satisfied with regular ol porcelain? Not sure about the light. It's blue. You know what they say about blue light before bedtime/during the night - the blue screen stuff. The blue light seems a bit harsh and there is no dimmer, simply "on / off". The seat height seems slightly higher than the stock American Standard toilet seat. It's recommended lower seats / higher knees are the prefered position of full elimation - but, if a person is that concerned, they can get one of those stool thingys. (the technical term, I'm sure) Super easy to install, less than 15 minutes from out with the old to in with the new. Time will tell about durability and ease of cleaning round the light. Day one thoughts are this thing is great and really kind of takes the edge off taking a seat. Such a luxury.

Installation was easy; only issue I had was getting the old toilet seat off! This one has a clever way to ensure the bolt is completely tightened. I struggled a little with that too, only because my wrench sucks and the angle was awkward, and there wasn’t enough room for me to look at what I was doing. So I installed it blind. Not too bad, if I do say so myself! I differ from some of the other reviewers regarding two aspects: 1) Heat setting: pretty much everyone is saying they have it set to level 2, and level 3 is too hot. Hmm. I’ve only had it installed for a few hours, but I didn’t find level 2 quite warm enough. Does this thing need that much time to fully heat up?? We’ll see. 2) Blue light: I think some people find it too strong/bright. Personally, I think it’s a beautiful shade of blue and the brightness is absolutely perfect. My only other comment is connecting the power. I bought this for two different bathrooms. In one, the outlet is within reach of the toilet. The cord is ugly, but I’ll figure out a way to secure it to the wall so that it isn’t as much of an eyesore. In the other bathroom, the power source is on the opposite side of the bathroom about 6 feet+. So for this one, I’ll have to run a power cord across the vanity. Again, with some cable management to not minimize the ugly. Personally, I don’t mind this too much and don’t really want to get any fancier by getting special electrical configuration just for my toilet. Dunno. At least that’s how I feel about it right now. All in all, I’m happy with this purchase and look forward to my future trips to this new throne - particularly in these winter months. Hope this helps!!

I gave heated toilet seats to my kids as a joke in a theme gift "some like it hot," not knowing they would love it. Bought this for my partner because complained about a cold seat in the morning. Was very easy to install and is very comfortable. Has different temperature settings, the lowest is sufficient, and a light. Very good quality.

So not only is this toilet seat amazing in every way as already stated by many here! If you do have an issue with their product after significant time has passed, they stand behind their product and resolve the issue! They respond extremely fast to your enquiry as well!! Excellent company all around! Buy the toilet seat! Your butt deserves it and this company deserves your money!! Update: received replacement seat quickly. Less than 6 business days! Best feature of my new bathroom. Everyone is amazed how warm it is. Put it on level one the rest is way too hot.

This Bemis heated seat is greatly appreciated every time I sit on it. No more cold seat that makes you want to jump back up. Most of the time the lowest setting is fine. I tried the medium setting a couple of times and it gets very warm. The highest setting is way too hot for me, but might be appreciated by someone coming in from a winter blizzard when the outside temp is -30 degrees. The little blue light worked great, until it didn't. But that was my fault for having the seat a little loose, and then having it move backwards a bit too far and breaking it. Maybe a little design improvement would be to recess the light into the seat, so it doesn't hang down, putting it in harms' way. Oh yeah, and the slow close seat still works great.
