The feel is fantastic with good resistance and as others have said, the pedal has a good non-slip base. The standard pedal that came with my Yamaha P-125 slipped all over the place on my wooden floor, but this stays put. I would just like to add that an earlier review suggested that the pedal only sustains upon releasing - if using a Yamaha electric piano, if you have the pedal pressed down when you turn the piano on, this reverses the polarity of the pedal, so could be the cause of and solution for this. Review: Looks and feels like real piano peddle - Bought this for my daughters Yamaha p125 and all seemed good Initially. Then l discovered the pedal would sometimes stick on but l think this was because it was brand new and lack of use. So we persivered over a month and with my daughter and myself playing the proplem seems to have disapeared. The pedal is relatively heavey so does not move which is good and feels like a real piano pedal. In order to be compatible, it must be wired in the correct polarity (all Yamaha keyboards are) AND have an CC pedal input. A very quick Google of 'Yamaha P125 specs' reveals that this model does not have such an input and so will not work with an FC7. Your alternative option is to use an in-line stereo audio volume pedal, such as a Boss FV-500L.
