Terrific Product. Works great in every load. Dishes clean and bright, every time. And no chemicals etc to worry about. Prefer Powder Cleaners as no plastics to cause you dishwasher problems down the road and no messy liquids where part of the price you pay is to ship water (basicly) across the USA.

Very happy with the dishwasher powder. I was looking for a “clean” non-toxic option for our dishwasher. I’m always hesitant that a powder will leave a cloudy residue on my dishes. However, Nellie’s not only cleans well but leaves no seen or felt residue on the dishes.

This container lasted us 9 months for a family of 7 who cook often. The biggest thing I've noticed since switching over from the plasticy colored pouches is that there is no residue on the dishes once they have finished their cycle. The dishes always come out clean and there is no funky smell or smudge on the dishes. They are just wonderfully clean. This gives me peace of mind knowing that my family is not ingesting chemicals and plastics from the other dishwasher detergents.

I've been looking for something good to get away from pods so decided to give some of these powders a try. I'm sensitive to fragrances so wen with the fragrance free. We've had a new Bosch dishwasher for a few months now to try this out in. The dishes do seem to come clean pretty well, just as good as anything else. While it doesn't seem to have a fragrance added to it, the smell after a wash is rather odd. I've used a different brand of fragrance free and it seemed to not really have any smell after, unlike this does. It's not the dishwasher as this is the only product that has the odd smell, which is why I dropped it a star. I usually put the correct amount in the dispenser, then if the dishes are extra dirty add a small amount to the door stainless door just below the dispenser door. I've noticed sometimes that there are residue spots in that exact location, which I wasn't noticing with the other product either. So far I'm not sure what it means, if anything, and I don't notice it all the time.

This was really really bad. So bad, in fact, that my husband insisted I leave a review, which I typically never do. We tried to save a few dollars on this alternative and it was terrible. It didn’t clean our dishes, most loads would have to be re-washed by hand. If it cleaned them, it left them with detergent/water stains. We will obviously never purchase again, but I was encouraged by the 4 star rating and I hope I can help someone else who is fooled by the same.

Cleans well without the harmful chemicals. I switched to Nellie's because of the overwhelming chemical "fresh" smell when opening the dishwasher and on the dishes. My cats didn't like how their dishes smelled, the other detergent was leaving a chemical "clean" odor on the dishes!

Wife here, writing on my husbands account. The main reason we purchased this dishwasher detergent is because we were looking for something cleaner that we didn't have to worry about leftover chemical or soap residue on our dishes. We've had this on order repeat and don't plan on switching anytime soon. Leaves dishes nicely cleaned.

It wasn't exactly a cheap purchase, in terms of actual cost.. however the store bought ones have so far performed better. First wash I doubled the expected dose & although most of the dishes didn't have food particles left over, there was a ton of white buildup on absolutely everything. It wipes right away, usually. Will not rinse. The loads I did later, I used less product and food started to come back, white residue was still there either way. They each need to be manually washed before use making the entire point void. Today I was pretty sure I was reaching for unwashed product only to notice that most of the food is in fact gone, it just looks dirty.

I bought this because our tap water is pretty hard, and most dishwasher pods either leave a cloudy film or don’t dissolve properly. After using Nellie’s for a couple of weeks, I’m honestly impressed. One small scoop is enough, and it actually dissolves fully, even on the quick wash cycle. The biggest difference for me has been the glassware. With other detergents, I’d usually get those annoying white spots or streaks, but this powder leaves everything clear. Plates come out clean, and cutlery looks brighter too. I still give anything with baked-on food a quick rinse first, but that’s pretty normal with hard water anyway. The powder can clump a bit if you leave the lid loose, so I keep the tin closed tight and it’s fine. The tin itself is solid and nicer than the plastic tubs most detergents come in. Overall, for hard water, this has been one of the best detergents I’ve tried. Simple, unscented, and it actually does the job.

I was having lots of problems with my dishwasher and regular dishwasher detergent, it was not cleaning properly- spraying dried food stuff onto the glasses and dishes, and it's a new dishwasher! I tried using my own mix of salt/baking soda and vinegar which was a bit better, but not much. This Nellies product is AMAZING. My glass wear is sparkly clean, and so are the dishes. There is no horrible detergent smell when opening the dishwasher and no residue. I am extremely pleased and would recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid chemical dishwasher products and wants a more natural product. I feel it actually cleans BETTER than Cascade, better than anything I have tried. I also don't need to add the special glass rinse aid anymore either and a little goes a long way! Highly recommend

I’ve been using this powder for 8 months and I love it. I like that it doesn’t have plastics, phosphates (environmentally friendly) and that it’s made in Canada. It cleans excellent. Hint.. I do also make sure I have a rinse agent in the DW auto dispenser. That is also important as I have read that if you start having moisture or streaking left on your dishes check the prince agent amount. Also cleaning out the filter/screen helps. I’m still on the first container and one scoop is enough so price point is also good. I’m a slight bit mixed on the can container .. looks nice. It arrived with a dented top (presumably from shipping) and it is hard to get off so I have it under the sink and the lid on loose. Perhaps if the lid wasn’t dented it may go on/off easier. Good that it’s a recyclable container. I’m am overall very satisfied and highly recommend this product!!

Will never buy chemical dishwasher soap ever again! Gets dishes and glass spotlessly clean. No harsh chemicals. Nothing left on dishes after a wash. No need for spot remover as this stuff gets everything I put in there spotlessly clean. This is now my go-to dishwasher detergent!

I have used this dishwasher powder in both a portable dishwasher and now a built-in one, and it has performed well in each situation. When I was using a portable dishwasher, it worked perfectly every time and always provided great value. I never had issues with residue and everything came out clean. After moving into a home with a standard dishwasher, I tried pods, liquid detergents, and Nellie's cubes, but I kept running into unclean dishes or leftover film. I switched back to this powder because it had been the most reliable for me. In my current dishwasher, I do see some residue at times, but running a sanitize rinse removes it completely. Once that cycle is used, dishes come out clean and glassware looks clear. The plant-based and fragrance-free formula is a nice plus, although it is not a major factor for me. This container lasts a long time. When I was running my dishwasher between one and three times per day, a single tub still lasted more than four months, which makes it excellent value for the price. I would recommend this powder to anyone who wants a dependable and cost-effective detergent, especially if they are using a portable dishwasher or have struggled with pods or liquids leaving residue.
