Why I Love You: A Journal of Us

I loved this book!! i ordered it as a valentines day gift for my fiance. It arrived very quickly and I was very pleased with it. I love the cover and the pages are really nice to write on, and I like the red ribbon as a book mark to save your page. I ordered it in plenty of time before valentines just to make sure it came in time and i had time to fill it out, which was a good job because it does take a while to fill out, but I am really enjoying filling doing it. A few people have said that you need a good memory to fill it out. I do not have a very good memory but when it comes to our relationship I found all the little important details came to my mind easily. A few people have also said that a few of the questions they have not known what to write, but I found some questions I had so much to write I was running out of room. There are a few silly questions like if your names were merged together what would it be, but that just adds a little fun to it. I think it is a perfect gift for your partner and is a good way to put down all your feelings for them to read and it is something you can keep and look back on, and add things to together. I love that there are also pages for adding photos of your times together, which makes it even more special to look back on together. I am going to give it to my fiance for valentines day and i know he is going to love it as much as I do as he is a big softy and romantic person. I am about half way through filling it in and I'm sure any bits I can't fill in without him (there hasn't been many so far) we will enjoy doing together after I have given it to him. I would highly recommend to everyone.

I absolutely love this book. It is well thought out, with plenty places to put photographs too. It is well made and the quality of the paper is very good. Arrived quickly as well.

I purchased this as a suprise gift for my partner on Valentines Day. I decided I would fill most of the book out by myself as a lot of the questions are asking for "Your" opinion. There are a lot of questions however that ask for answers from the two of you as a couple such as your Favorite things to do together, Movies, Music etc... So I left these as a fun task to do together once I had given him the book. He absolutely loved the journal, he enjoyed reading all my answers and hearing my thoughts and feelings. He was really enthusiastic about filling the missing bits out together too, which was great! There is lots of space for pictures and notes etc and a little envelope incorporated into the book at the back to store any aditional photos, notes, tickets or other sentimental things you have gathered during your time together. Once completed, this is a great keepsake to look back on throughout the years and reminice on memories. Although I think written by an American, I wouldn't at all say you can tell apart from one question "Best thing we've given eachother for under $5" - I simply crossed out the dollar sign with a pound sign... No biggie. The book is beautifully made, with a little ribbon inside as a page marker and the paper is lovely quality to write on. Overall I love this journal, I am glad I bought it and I would recommend fully to others.

This book will make such a romantic and unusual present for my husband. I have started filling it in and hopefully will get through it before valentines day! We've not long been married and most of the questions apply to us-there are just a few about children that don't yet apply (maybe one day!), but even if you are a new couple I think it would make a lovely gift as you could fill in the first few chapters and fill in more as your relationship progresses. I have really enjoyed filling it in so far-the questions it asks triggers special memories you might have forgotten about.

Nice book, I really loved filling it all in and was nice remembering things that i had forgotten. The book has lots of pages with questions and you just answer them based on your relationship "We met....." "You were wearing......" You made me feel........". Spaces for pictures and notes or memories too. No bits about marriage or kids though and that would have been nice as they are big milestones in our relationship however, its understandable as not all couples are married with kids. some of the questions are really stupid too, "if i was a superhero i would be......" "you would be..........." "together we would be........". Strange. Still was fun to do and will make a lovely extra valentines prezzie. Word of warning, theres a lot to fill in, buy sooner rather than later as it will take you a fair amount of time to do it all.

Lovely and memorial book to fill on my bits in about us. Beautiful pages that make you think of happy memories. Really gets you thinking about the start of me and Hubby. Love it and would recommend.

Just received this today in post, it's a small gift to my husband on our first wedding anniversary , and I must say this book is much better than expected. The questions in the book are very thought out and majority of the questions in the later chapters are things which I never really asked myself before , so it's defiantly a deep meaningful book, It's a brilliant idea, and I think every serious couple at some point in their marriage or time together should keep a copy of this . In terms of design and layout, again it's beautifully presented in a chronological order , the cover itself gives it a warm feeling, I love the idea of having a sort of summery section at the end of each chapter and a page to stick notes or personal photos in. The pocket on the last page is also a very useful . Overall a very good book, a must buy and a must keep. In

There's so much more to the book than meets the eye its potential to reconnect and relive old memories with a loved one and thats just while you filling it out. I found that while i spent a solid week on it, i made it slightly interractive using post it notes as stop markers and leaving specific pages for my girlfriend to fill out as well as making on the fly quests for her to do or riddles here and there to make her think rather than just recieve another boring book to read. This then gave the oppurtunity to not only watch as your loved ine read what you write and relives the moment themselves but also the joy on their face on how much effort you put into it is well worth the effort of completing the book. For my other half it was her birthday gift, been a little rough where money is concerned lately and have been going through a tough time in our relationship but all of that was put behind us when we came back from her birthday weekend and she found i had set up her favorite big teddy, put this book in its lap with the usual cards and cute gifts. But the icing on the cake was always this book. I wrote 3 post its and stuck them to the 1st page inside explaining how i had left the book open to her to fill where i had missed, to add whatever she wanted by all means and even put in pictures if she saw fit as it was my gift to her to do san enjoy it however that may be. Overall i reccomend the buy even if its nit as a gift. The process of completion was more than enough enjoyment for me. The endless stream of tears from my girls eyes as soon as she hit page 2 onwards was the clean winning point for me :)

I gifted this to my boyfriend as a birthday gift. I am not a person myself who would gift a journal ( because I am not really into reading and writing ) but I knew he would love it and when I read the reviews I got an idea it's going to be fun and cute which was actually true. I would recommend to order it at least 2 weeks before you want to gift it as it really requires your thoughts and efforts, it made me explore our relationship at a whole new level, made me think about our past -how we met, our present-how we feel for each other currently and our future. My boyfriend was amazed and shocked when he opened the package. I can never forget his reaction, it was priceless. He felt really special and loved and could not believe for a second that I actually did this. The chapters in the book are really detailed and you get an opportunity to scribble down your feelings and post your pictures together, which makes the journal your to-go-book to refresh your memories and bring that instant smile on your face every time it is in front of your eyes. I left some blank spaces in the chapter where it talk about the future (pets, cars, vacations shared) and left a small note - I would love to fill this soon, it really touched him. He laughed at some really fun things I wrote and adored my feelings where I posted pictures and wrote small thoughts and quotes. I drew small cute doodles wherever I could to give that extra edge which he absolutely loved. You can be very creative, fun and thoughtful with this gift, just requires a little time and thinking. I loved the idea of how you can make a journal of your love story, I am definitely going to show it to our children. This gift is absolutely close to our heart!!!

Ein sehr schönes Buch, super Geschenk. Die Seiten sind mit etwas dickerem Papier versehen, darauf kann man auch super mit bunten Filzstiften schreiben. Sehr viele, verschiedene Fragen und Möglichkeiten um dem Partner zu zeigen wie gern man ihn hat. Nette Details und liebevolle Verarbeitung.

This is such a cute idea. The journal is filled with countless prompts that range from fun, surface level trivia about your relationship to deeper questions about your past and future together. The sheer number of prompts is both a blessing and a bit of a task. If you plan to fill it out completely before giving it to your partner, give yourself at least a month to gather your thoughts and collect the photos and drawings it asks for. The time you put in is absolutely worth it. I found myself appreciating my partner even more while working through it, and they loved how thoughtful and deep it turned out. It is a great memento that will last forever, and even though a few prompts felt slightly repetitive or obscure, the overall product is well worth it.

This is an awesome book. About 90 or so pages for you to fill in with little stories about how you met, what you like about your partner etc... Recommend doing the first 30 or so pages, and leaving some of the pages to do together. There is a section that is about us or such and its quite nice to go through together. I preferred this over the other knock knock books because this includes a lot more personal questions and space to write out. Just note - it takes a while to fill in.
