It came in a very nice box, all the items (diodes, needle, and lighting rod) were included as well as the power supply. The unit itself is really cool with its clear case and everything just functions as promised. Two things, the instructions are pretty minimal, but on the non-music mode you can touch the electricity without getting shocked. I wasn’t too sure based on the instructions, but it’s fine. On the music mode they encourage you not to touch. It was really fun using the included lights and we even put an incandescent bulb up to it and it lit up. The video I included was the music mode and that was one of the best features as not only is the coil producing the music, it puts on a great show. Overall this is a no brainer gift to get any science enthusiast. It’s simply great for such a low cost. One warning though. It’s super loud. We wore earplugs and it was fine, but not recommended in a small room without them. Review: I purchased as a gift for my grandson. I tested first to make sure it was safe for him (He is 12.)
