This is just a 1 to 4 sterio splitter. However it also work in reverse (allowing you to combine up to 4 audio sources into a single output). This is in fact how I use it, as I had various sound sources I wanted to play on the single powered speaker I have in my home office (initially just my laptop and my TV, but I plan to add additional sound sources in the future). By hooking up those sound sources to the "outputs" of this cable, and plugging the "input" of this cable into my speaker, I now get all of those audio sources playing through the same speaker (and it even combines the audio, when more then one sound source is active at the same time)!

Well for me this 3.5 four-way adapter helps my project to hook up my surround sound systems which I got much more now makes it outstanding easy hook up easier arrangement well I'm using this with other adapters I now have six 5.1 surround sound systems being used as one complete system every system has its own channel and the sound is outstanding along with the bass trouble in midrange and all the other items that I have hooked up to but this adapter helps me hook all this stuff together so I can split it up by only being four 3.5 females I can only hook up four units with it but along with a 3.5 why adapter male to two females along with this expands it and another adapter to connect all this in 3.5 female adapter end to end along with a 3.5 RCA cord connected up to the preamp headphone volume controller with line through and a remote control to control the sound that comes through these units but but this adapter is ideal for this project I bought two of them one for my bedroom set up and the other one for the dining room setup for the televisions for the surround sound systems to be hooked up for me I love it this has made hooking up these projects a little bit easier for me and well worth the time and effort to do this it doesn't take long there's no soldering involved there's no screwing panels together it's just hook up to hook up and this will be ideal for you too if you're not doing a system like this but you can hook other items up to my headphones speakers with an amp built in them and whatever else you can use it for I recommend this adapter I know I'm not saying the name which is okay but for me I love it so I recommend it give it a try try for yourself you'll be happy when you do.

They work but the sound quality does drop a little, just enough to be noticeable.

There isn't a lot that could go wrong with this item. There are no moving parts so if all the electronics are connected correctly there is no room for error. They work, no static, no sound depriciation.

This worked for sending a time code signal from a digital audio recorder to multiple cameras.

The volume is drastically dropped when using these. They're useless for us and ended up being tossed out.

Met my expectations for what I needed this splitter for!

I use this cord to extend XM radio to a set or wireless speakers and well as a normal FM radio setup so I can use any FM radio in the house to receive XM Radio signals and play the programming of Willie's RoadHouse throughout the whole house and outside the house. It works beautifully.

Male connection too loose, causing speaker distortion issues between the sets plugged 🔌 in 😠 Plus I can't return it !
