Xerapol Acrylic Scratch Remover (50g polish/1 cloth/2 sandpaper)

If you are anal about scratches, they will still be there under light, but if you are further than 10cm it's almost impossible to notice. I've bought a PS4 that wasn't well cared, and it's top piano black part was all scratched, with some very nasty deep scratches. Gave it a try, and I didn't believe the results, the scratches are "almost" gone. I've posted pictures of before, during ( I've sanded it down to remove some of the deeper scratches ) and after. I've gotta say, during the sanding part, I was scarred. It got opaque, and ... well... scratched, worst than it was to be honest, but using it, and polishing it, it got really smooth. * How to use * If you have a deep scratch, sand it down ( test before in a non visible part ) Apply a bit on a cotton ball, or soft microfiber towel ( DON'T USE PAPER TOWELS OR ANY OTHER PAPER ) Make circular motions, for a while. 2-3minutes. Wait for a minute after. Buff it out with a clean microfiber or clean under water ( don't use paper towels ) Rinse and repeat for better results. In my specific scenario (ps4 hdd cover), the plastic is VERY soft, rubbing it with a paper towel scratches it, so all the job had to be done with cotton. I've tried with paper towel, and had to re-polish it. Overall, it is an excellent product, but please do test it out in a non-visible part if possible. There are hard plastics and soft plastics, it will be different depending on it.

Possibly not a fair review, as I used the product outside of it's design parameters by getting some light scratches out of some piano gloss finish speakers - however, it did work well, the marks have gone - but it does leave a very slightly hazy finish which I've had to remove with some finer cutting agents. I'm sure if you're looking to remove some surface marks from your cars paintwork it would work a treat - and is a one-box solution to a problem. So I would recommend for that purpose - for speakers - I would suggest something else.

I have a Perspex wind block on my mx5 which is scratched due to me trying to remove adhesive with sand paper! This works after a minute of rubbing with the cream. It’s the first cream that I found that worked. I was looking at £120 for a new wind blocker , so this has saved me a fortune. It’s also removed scratches on the piano trim in my other car😊 word of advice, don’t jump straight in with the sandpaper. It’s not needed and makes the job harder!

It is ok , I can see an improvement but far from perfect after 2 applications and a lot of elbow grease .

This stuff is good if you want to give plastic a polish but as far as removing any scratches its beyond useless. I scrubbed using the sandpaper and then the paste and scratches are still there. 30 minutes on a tiny scratch i could even feel with my nail (no it wasnt on the other side) and its still there. Removes deep scratches - NO Removes light scratches - NO Removes slight hazing and polish - YES This is a polish only not a scratch remover. I think people are confusing dirt and finger marks from scratches and giving this 5 stars for doing the same job as a can of Mr Sheen.

I used this on an expensive amplifier on the display screen which managed to splash super glue on, this left little blobs of glue which when trying to remove left some scratches. I thought I would give this a go but trying it on something else first seemed to work well, using the sanding paper first which fogged the entire screen with light scratches the paste completely removed them, the scratches and some blobs of glue remained so I went over it again with a bit more confidence. Put a bit of effort in and take your time, this stuff does work. All the scratches and glue are now gone so more than happy with this product.

Works fantastically well. I managed to scratch my acrylic distro plate in my custom watercooling loop when I slipped holding a fitting, and this kit has made it good as new again. The scratches were somewhat deep so I had to work at it with the sandpaper for a while, but the polishing compound completely removes the cloudiness left by the sandpaper and makes it shine. Would definitely recommend.

My Son had accidentally got quite a deep knife scratch in a very important cap which he needed to be perfect again for work in a few days time. After reading a lot of reviews on all the different scratch removal products on Amazon, we eventually went for this bottle by Quixx; although still unsure if it would actually work on this specific plastic. Thankfully it arrived the following day (thanks to Prime, which I am still trying to get used to) and when my Son arrived home for his long weekend leave, he got straight to work. Unfortunately he hasn’t go the patience to put much effort in to it, and so delegated this very important job to his sister 😂😂 She spent a good hour constantly applying the cream and rubbing with the cloth enclosed in the box, building up layer after layer and eventually it did look good. There was no way he was going to risk using the little sand paper pieces on this kind of plastic, so just the cloth did the job. You could still kind of see a faint scratch if you knew you were looking for it, but hopefully he will pass inspection. So, if you are willing to put a good amount of time into the job in hand, then this is probably the best stuff to do it with. Sadly I didn’t take any photos to show you.

Habe hier ein gebrauchtes Musikinstrument, wo auf dem Display mittig 2 richtig fiese Tippel bzw. Kratzer sich befanden. Mit Glasreiniger ging da nix weg. Mit dem Poliermittel hier, und 3 Mal angewendet, wurde es jedes Mal besser. Schliesslich sind die 2 Kratzer mit dem normalen Blick nicht mehr zu sehen, und nur noch mit der Lupe zu finden. Ich hatte befürchtet, hier den mitgelieferten Schmirgel mit 1500 Körnung einsetzen zu müssen. Dieser wird in der Anleitung für tiefe Kratzer empfohlen. Ich habe den hier nicht gebraucht, und bin extrem zufrieden. Es wurden nur Stecknadel-Kopf grosse Mengen von der weissen Paste benötigt, und so habe ich hier nun noch genug Material für ca. 100 gleiche Reparaturen, falss nur so eine geringe Menge an Paste benötigt wird. Hoffentlich trocknet mir die Tube nicht ein. Also ich kann es Euch nur empfehlen. - Bitte nicht für Smartphone mit Touchscreen kaufen, dafür ist es sicher nicht geeignet ! Aber für ein zerkratztes Display, wo die Kratzer nicht extrem tief sind, kann ich es 100Prozent empfehlen ! Die Kratzer waren bei mir auch nur in der Abdeckscheibe des Displays, nicht im Display selber. Also Vorsicht bitte auch bei neueren Geräten, die evtl. keine Abdeckscheibe über dem Display haben.

Las reviews negativas entiendo que son de gente que lo ha usado en otros materiales. Este pulimento es específicamente para plástico acrílico (plexiglas, perspex, etc...) y no funciona en vidrio o cristal. Hay que ser insistente y paciente al frotar el producto, y hay que usar la lija que se incluye, mojándola en agua, si son arañazos más profundos. La usé para eliminar unas rayadas de una urna de acrílico que se hicieron al montarla, y ha quedado como nueva.
