Review: Very handy - Schradieck is "industry standard" violin instruction. Highly recommended. A little tedious to go through, but it teaches you about better, more relaxed left-hand positioning which is of course totally essential for improving skill. I find the chromatic scales particularly useful, and also introducing the higher finger positons (4th, 5th, 7th etc). Review: Technique in one week - I am professional violinist, and i recommend the schradieck school to any who want to improve: confidence of finger technique reaction ( both for fast playing and fast note reading ) The quality of notes are much better than the one from imslp.
