Serious protein, Serious value
Extremely good value protein powder, I've always paid under ยฃ30.00 for this product and in my opinion it's very tasty when mixed with milk, its not as nice with water but still drinkable, it mixes easily with a shaker mug no lumps with a vigorous shake,I've now reordered this 4 times, iam seeing good results and iam more than happy with it,

Great price compared to alternatives
I read a lot of reviews before deciding to take a chance on this product, hopefully this is useful to someone else. I've been using the product for a few weeks now, here are my thoughts. When I came to the end of my last batch of protein powder and looked to replace it I was shocked at the price and started looking for alternatives, and Serious Protein came up. There were mixed reviews and I thought long and hard about it, but the price was so attractive I decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. There were two main issues I saw raised by other reviewers: lumps and taste.Lumps: The product is a lot thicker than the far more expensive alternative I was using before. I now use at least 300ml of water in the shaker, and shake for a good hard 30 seconds. I now have minimal lumps which I don't find to be a problem. I suggest that anyone having problems with lumps is not using enough water (I used to use 200-250ml) and/or not shaking enough.Taste: This is far less sweet than that other product, but I really don't find it offensive. I'm also happier to have less artificial sweetener every day.My rating: This is so much cheaper than the other product I was using that I'm happy to put up with the extra water, extra shaking, and less sweetness. Well worth it in my opinion.

1 star is Generous, Truly Horrible
This is actually my first ever 1 star review. Normally Iโd just move on, but I genuinely feel like I need to warn others about this.I only bought it because it seemed like great value 4kg for around ยฃ30 is much cheaper than most other brands. I read a mix of reviews and decided to take a chance, thinking at worst it would be okay for the price. Unfortunately, it was far worse than expected. On the positive side, it arrived quickly and when I first opened the bag it actually smelled quite nice. I couldnโt find a scoop inside, but I had a spare so not a huge issue. However, the taste is absolutely terrible. Thereโs no real hint of chocolate at all, and the aftertaste is honestly like smelly feet, really unpleasant.I gave it another chance using 2 scoops with 500ml of water, but that made things even worse. The consistency turned thick and glue like, and the taste somehow became even more unbearable.I even tried giving it away to friends, and every single one refused after trying it. Itโs so bad I couldnโt even give it away for free.Really disappointing purchase, cheap for a reason. Avoid.

Potentially, great value for money
I was apprehensive about purchasing this product after reading some mixed reviews. However, trusting Amazonโs customer service, I decided to take the plunge and try it for myself. My initial impression wasn't great. When I pulled the tub out of the box, the presentation was quite poor. The label was peeling away and stuck on wonkily, as if it had been applied in a rush. Additionally, the rim of the lid was completely covered in Sellotape. Having read other reviews mentioning lids coming loose in transit, I assume Amazon taped it up as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, the pull-break seal was intact, so the product itself was safe and uncontaminated. Some reviewers had complained about lumping, but I didn't experience this at all. I have always used a simple jug and hand whisk to blend my protein shakes, and this powder mixed perfectly using that method. One heaped scoop blended with 250ml of water produced a completely smooth, slightly thick shake that was very easy to drink. The flavour is perfectly fine. Letโs be realistic: it isn't a McDonaldโs milkshake, but it certainly isn't unpleasant either. Iโve had some truly terrible-tasting water-based protein shakes in my time, and this one is pleasant by comparison. It tastes a lot like oats. I don't mind it at all.It is worth noting that this is a soy protein, not whey. While whey is generally considered the superior choice for weight training due to its amino acid profile and absorption rate, there are pros and cons to both. However, when you compare the incredibly budget-friendly price of this soy protein to the current cost of whey products, the massive savings make it a very fair trade-off.So far, the product inside the tub has completely defied the poor external presentation. Because Iโve only just started using it, I cannot comment on the physical results or performance quality just yet. I plan to finish this tub over the coming month and will update this review with my final thoughts.

Add decaf coffee, shake violently quickly
Bang for your buck. Doesn't taste to great but significantly cheaper than anything else on Amazon. Add some decaf coffee and it tastes good. Also, the moment the powder hits water get the lid on and shake violently, that will mix it properly. If the powder sits in water before shaking it will clump. Small effort to make it work well.

Great value, but at what cost?
On the surface this product seems too good to be true: 133 servings for 40 quid!It actually tastes good and I was very happy with this product for a while. I thought to myself, finally I have got a protein powder I can just keep buying. It mixes well and tastes well, what more could you want? The reason I've deducted stars is because I found bits of plastic inside near the bottom of tub. It looks like a coiled plastic seal and there are also little bits of plastic too. This is quite worrying, as judging by other reviews I'm not the only person to experience this. If the quality control is this bad then I wonder what else could be inside and what I could be ingesting. The fact it also comes without a label is also worrying, it's just a blank tub. So while this seems great value I'm not so sure if I'll order again due to concerns about safety.

Good taste, good price
I purchase by price, so this is what led me to getting Serious Protein (with this being my second purchase). I wanted something easy in the mornings for breakfast as I'm always on my feet, and I can't eat a lot at the start of the day.I have had the strawberry and chocolate options, and both have been fine for me. I can't compare them to many other products, and I usually have mine with water (and even more than the recommended amount). I haven't tasted anything odd, it's fine, and that's what I'm looking for. I also use a blender when mixing, which I recommend with any shakes. In terms of making overnight oats or mixing it with anything else, I can't give much comment. I tried once myself to make overnight oats with it for a change, but my inexperience led me to making a mess. Otherwise, I love the calories to protein ratio.

Great Protein Powder.
Great protein, value for money and tastes good. My son and me drink it daily. Probably not the best tasting protein in the world with water but we add a little extra per serving and have it with milk and we are both happy with it. We wonโt change brands or protein whilst this bargain bucket is available.
