Absolutely brilliant, love that is collapsed for convenient storage. Easy to add the bait into and easy to get crayfish out of once caught. Does exactly what it's meant to.

I wanted this trap to catch prawns for fishing bait. It is quite well made from what appears to be quite a heavy duty netting, as for the zips i'm not quite so sure as they appear to be quite flimsy and I will be using it in saltwater only time will tell. As other people have said the string to retrieve it with is nigh on useless so it will be replaced with paracord, all in all it's not a bad buy and i'm pretty sure it will do ok for what I want it for.

Perfect for the job

First time using this I threw it in the river (Thames) about 3 feet deep with a tin of cat food and some guts from some fish I'd just cleaned. Came back about 18 hours later and there must have been nigh on 40 crayfish in there - all American crayfish - all very tasty! I've used it multiple times and I've never caught anything but crayfish, so if anything else is making its way in, it must be able to make its way back out! The rope for tying it on is a little on the flimsy side, but easily replaced with an alternative. The zips aren't of the highest quality either, but just go slowly with them and don't yank them and you'll be alright! Collapses down nicely for storage.

The trap was exactly as expected and as written in a review I looked at... the chum bag zip broke after 2 uses! Now I use a bulldog clip. Hey ho... you get what you pay for...

An old design that has stood the test of time

Still not caught nothing in it yet!, fairly good quality though.
