I have used the cheap HF wire crimpers forever and they never do a great job, so I wanted the get the ratchet style. These work great and I haven't it had any wires come lose since I started using these. The fact that they come with a bunch of connectors is a great bonus.

I purchased this kit for use in upgrading the lights on a utility trailer. Like other reviewers I was impressed both with the assortment of connectors and the heavy duty nature of the tool itself. One other thing that I was pleased about was the flexibility of the colored collars on the connectors. I've bought connectors in the past that had a collar made of stiff plastic that would crack when crimped. Not so here - the connectors are of good quality all around and crimp properly. The tool is very heavy duty and FAR better than the combo stripper/crimpers that I've bought before. One use tip - it's easier to put the connector in the crimper before inserting the wire. That allows you to get the connector aligned properly in the jaws to ensure a solid crimp. I've attached a quick video showing the process.

Finally bought another set of these crimpers. I have another with multiple-style crimpers and it's just too much work to keep switching. So now that one stays micro connectors and this one is for the power cables. No more switching back and forth. It works, just like all the other crimpers I have but one feature makes this set 5 stars. These crimpers stay in a locked, closed position when not in use. It annoys the crap out of me when the arms auto-open to default position. Otherwise, just your standard crimper and it works. The connector kit is a nice bonus.

Garbage. Crimpers are worthless and wont allow for release on a crimp fail or need to adjust the connector on the wire. Chinese trash like everything chinese

Recently came cross a video by Louis Rossman, talking about amazon allowing sellers to sell bad quality crimping connectors. Long story short, needed both the tool and the connectors and took a gamble for the price. Crimp tool and the connectors are good quality and do not come apart with a good tug. Would recommend!

They work great and they are not expensive
