I only took this piece of luggage for a 2 month trip. I took a lot of lightweight clothes, 3 dresses, 3 skirts, swimsuit, six cotton shirts, underwear and pjs and a small light towel. Cosmetics and bar shampoos and flipflops It is roomy and very well built. It fits in the overhead of large aircraft and under the seat of smaller ones. It is sooo comfortable to carry, seems to disburse the weight well, even for an older person (58). Very easy to carry. Cons: once packed I could not fit a water bottle or anything in the front outside pocket, it is too tight so that pocket is a waste. You cannot really use packing cubes, they take too much room. The best way to pack is to roll your clothes. I would have liked a proper zipped outside pouch.
