It worked better than a pipe wrench which is why I bought it. I don't know how good others are but this one is good

This Spanner wrench is worth every penny. It saved me a lot of frustration in removing a mandrel pulley on a lawn mower. It is a solidly constructed tool, I wouldn't hesitate to add a cheater bar for added torque. In my case the pins that are installed were the right size, however they appear to be easily switched out with the supplied pins for other sizes.

I ended up sending mine back. The finish was neither chrome or polished as the item description and product specifications say. Every photo provided by them is a polished chrome. Even customer photos have chrome. Mine came feeling like 36 grit sandpaper. It must have been shot blasted with large steel shot and then galvanized rather than chromed. I don't know why I got a bummer, but I'm sending it back and not even trying it. The tool probably works fine as it feels solid and uses 12.9 grade metric hardware for the pins. I just can get over the poor finish and false advertising. This must happen often as there are return instructions right on the box. This tool also has a fear of rain lol.

Having a useful and reliable tool is always important to me, and this tool is sturdy and worked well for applying force and releasing the press. You can get good leverage with this tool using normal force. The kit is very complete; everything it includes is exactly what you need to get the job done, and the gloves provide good hand protection.
