Review: Just say no to proprietary apps, say hello to Tasmota - Plug it in, connect to the plug's wifi, and you're ready to update the firmware and configure your device. No apps to download, no forced account signups, no privacy issues. Works seamlessly with Home Assistant via the MQTT and Tasmota extensions (all free). These plugs generally go for $5 apiece so getting the Tasmota firmware pre-installed is adding a 50% surcharge, and that was worth every extra penny as far as I can. Review: Absolute Garbage!! Stay away from these! Save your money and sanity! - First group of these that I bought lasted a while, so I bought another pack of 4. These began failing after desertcart return period ended. Several plugs connects to wifi repeatedly (like every 20 or 30 seconds), but never stay connected. Another plug won't connect to wifi, regardless of correct password or not. Tried flashing one to ESPhome, and it actually behaved for a little while before going back to misbehaving. WAF dropped like a stone. The plug finally failed and my wife is very unhappy, as she is dealing with vertigo and cannot bend over easily to manually turn off the nightlight that it was attached to. I've sent an email to Martin Jerry about this. Haven't heard anything back yet, but to be fair, I just emailed this like 5 minutes ago. Response time is supposed to be within 12 hours.... Will update once I get a response back. Regardless of outcome, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT recommend. UPDATE: Received a replacement pack, most of which failed inside of a month. Requested and received a refund. Would rate with negative numbers if I could.

Great Smart Plug, Easy ESPHome (re)flash!
These Plug V by Martin Jerry smart plugs are fantastic! Pre-flashed with Tasmota, theyโre super easy to reflash with ESPHome via OTA using the Tasmota web UI. The ESP8266-based plug works flawlessly with my Home Assistant setup, with the relay (GPIO12), button (GPIO13), and LED (GPIO4) configured perfectly using the provided template. Sturdy, reliable, and compact, these plugs are a solid choice for home automation.

3 of the four failed within the 1st year
I purchased a four-pack in January, 2024. All the plugs initially came up and were working fine with Home Assistant on my house network. One failed within the first couple of weeks - the reset light stopped working and it was completely dead. I contacted the vendor and they couldn't send a single replacement but did refund 1/4 of the cost of the 4-pack to my Amazon account. Two of the remaining plugs failed in the same way within 9-months of purchase - the plugs went completely dead. I don't know if this was just a bad batch but I would not recommend purchasing this smart plug.

Work great, no fuss.
I set up all 4 which worked out of the box with no issue. That's more than I can say about the first 4 I ordered off AliExpress that would never enter wifi AP mode. These ones you just plug into the wall and they're instantly ready to be joined. The over the air update worked great. These things respond very quickly which I was surprised by. Super easy to use with http requests. Update: one of the plugs died completely and another stopped entering AP mode so it's forever bound to my old wifi.

They're perfect
I LOVE that there are pre-flashed IoT devices coming out. I'm so done with clouds and apps and big companies that I have to pay for their CES booth by proxy. Long live tasmota! While I'm capable of flashing something that is flashable, it's certainly nice to be able to pull it out of the box ready to go. 20 stars.

Lasted about 30 mins
Got brand new v06 plug. Plugged it in, configured wifi, flashed firmware over the web. Everything looked great. There are no reset instructions to reset it back to default, so I tried holding the power button in for 30 secs. Now it won't power on at all. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. Holding the power button down. Nothing. Awesome.
